Hi,

I have had neurological problems (muscle weakness, numbness, shooting pains), joint pain, and severe fatigue since 2002. I tested negative in 2002. I took in the symptom list to my dr and had marked off almost all, but dr says he is sticking with the test result. I had a "bug bite" in 2001. Thought it was a spider bite, not tick, because it was almost the color of a bruise. It was bulls-eye in shape though.

I don't know, just thought a LLMD visit would put closure with all of my questions.

Thanks everyone!
Sturg

Hi Sturg,

To find recommendations for an LLMD in your area, post this request on the California Lyme group on Yahoo--there are a lot of members from Central California.

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/CaliforniaLyme/

I see an LLMD near the Bay Area, and I know of doctors in Southern California, but none in the middle.

Did you test negative with an ELISA test? These are notoriously unreliable. Check out Dr. Burrascano's "Diagnostic Hints and Treatment Guidelines" at the Ilads website: http://ilads.org/guidelines.html

The best Lyme test is probably the Western Blot from Igenix, but Lyme is still a clinical diagnosis, so it's imperative that you see an LLMD.

Good luck!!
