OK...the very LAST thing I want to do is start the whole debate all over again...but I think this person really needs some accurate information, and I am afraid that she isn't getting it at Sci.med.

Now, there is a child involved as well, so timely and accurate information is important.
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/sci.med.diseases.lyme/browse_frm/thread/48d13ba8e5d32622/2fccaa785a6ffd57?hl=en#2fccaa785a6ffd57

Apparently, she has blocked my email...or I would send it to her myself.

Anyway, what I am asking for is for one of you to email her with the correct info re: labs. I can supply that information to you if you don't have it...just email me, OK?

Obviously, this would need to be done with compassion.

Thanks so much, let's not lose sight of what our real purpose is here- to help those in need.

We can only try...
Melanie

Melanie, I think if you look at the other posts this person has written on sci med and elsewhere, you will see that she is not a Lyme patient or parent looking for help at all.

Just the fact that "Charles05" and his other Steere camp accomplice, who regularly abuse the whole of ILADS and call the whole Lyme community hypochondriacs, are falling over themselves to praise "Michelle P", tells us something.

There is a multi-million dollar operation in Pennsylvania called Quackwatch, run by Stephen Barrett, which is funded by the Insurance, Big Pharma and other industries. Ed McSweegan writes the Lyme pages for Quackwatch which are full of horrendous disinformation. It's possible that "Michelle P from Pennsylvania" is involved with that crazy crew.

She has posted several questions like this on more than one forum. I have the impression she is gathering info for an article, since she is a journalist. Not sure these questions are legit. If they are, she can always go to a lyme org or support group.

Martijn, "Charles05" whom you know very, very well, has been on this list insulting the whole of Lymenet. Why have you not complained about him violating the terms?

You only find the need to complain when I or someone else draws attention to the troublemakers.

On sci med, when the poster "A Weisman" repeatedly expressed his view that all of ILADS are idiots, and that this group should be called LymeNut rather than LymeNet, you not only did not criticise him, but you made friends with him and invited him to stay at your house in Holland.

It is no wonder that so many people think you are a Steere camp provocateur too, however, as I have explained to them, you are not that.

I have explained to them that you are a genuine Lymie, who just happens to be a complete idiot.

Melanie,
I have already posted info to her re: Igenex and MDL, which she has acknowledged.
So she does have it.

I think perhaps she likes to ask several different groups, and then compare the answers, before she decides what to do.

I also advised her to do background reading about Kathleen Dickson, Plum Island, and other info, which she would need as a journalist.

Yes,Martijn, please go ahead. And while you are contacting the moderator complaining about me, please be sure to forward them your many, many posts on sci.med.diseases.lyme in which you refer to this entire group as LymeNut and jeer at the members along with your friend Weisman, who openly says that he regards all ILADS as "idiots".

What a fantastically valuable contribution you make to the Lyme community.

Lymerayja,

You said, "...you will see that she is not a Lyme patient or parent looking for help at all."

That's not accurate, as she originally posted on a different health group, asking for information about a tick that she removed.

She later requested info about testing a tick that she removed from her daughter.
I gave her info both times.

I doubt very much that she is involved with the Steere camp, as she apparently is not aware of who he is.
She also did not know who Kathleen Dickson is.

The folks at sci.med gave her info similar to what she received at LymeNet.
