For those of us who don't follow country music closely, Here are the lyrics to Brad Paisley's current best-seller, "Ticks".
Who would ever have imagined there would be a song like this???
Ann - OH
www.sweetslyrics.com/452365. Brad Paisley - Ticks Added by Site Admin on 2007-03-22 03:39:47 -- [Ticks] Every time you take a sip In this smoky atmosphere You press that bottle to your lips And I wish I was your beer In the small there of your back Your jeans are playing peekaboo I'd like to see the other half of your butterfly tattoo.
Hey that gives me an idea Let's get out of this bar Drive out into the country And find a place to park.
'Cause I'd like to see you out in the moonlight I'd like to kiss you way back in the sticks I'd like to walk you through a field of wildflowers And I'd like to check you for ticks.
I know the perfect little path Out in these woods I used to hunt Don't worry babe I've got your back And I've also got your front Now, I'd hate to waste a night like this I'll keep you safe you wait and see The only thing allowed to crawl all over you when we get there is me.
You know every guy in here tonight Would like to take you home But I've got way more class than them Babe that ain't what I want.
'Cause I'd like to see you out in the moonlight I'd like to kiss you way back in the sticks I'd like to walk you through a field of wildflowers And I'd like to check you for ticks.
You never know where one might be There's lots of place that are hard to reach I gotcha.
I'd like to see you out in the moonlight I'd like to kiss you baby way back in the sticks I'd like to walk you through a field of wildflowers And I'd like to check you for ticks.

Actually, I have been busy helping my husband get past some very severe surgery. He is doing much better now.
And I am someone who really admires country music as a great American art form. Just haven't had time to keep up with Brad Paisley.
Having been an advocate for Lyme disease patients for many, many years, I know that there was a time when most of the country would have had no clue as to why you should check somebody for ticks. We, who were desperate to have some kind of education on Lyme, would have been so happy to have someone in the public eye even mention that ticks might be dangerous.
Does anyone know if he has a special interest in preventing tick-borne illnesses?

I don't know about his interests...but he IS from West Virginia... so he should know plenty about ticks!
It's hard to "keep up with" Brad Paisley!!
I'm very glad your husband is doing much better. We DID miss you while you were gone. I was wondering what happened to you!

Since the singer is from my state, the local radio station is giving away tickets to a concert in Florida for whoever can find the tick on their mascot "the rabbit"...

Yeah, I hated that he referred to them as "stupid bugs"! I think I need to send him an email. I'll see what I can find.

also pasting this comment here too i saw now...
Someone on another country stars forum. Posted that what NO WAY!!! What I understood what Brad meantBrad said about his fans that when he put out a song about "stupid bugs" etc. Fans buy it! Poster thought Brad felt like"his fans were shallow" and thought he "insulted his fans"
by saying that was: He was amazed at the loyalty of his fans. And how much he appreciates his fans! You have to know Brad and his sense of humour. Just had to post this in defense of Brad.
Love You Brad And thanks for making your fans feel appreciated. Pamela
