Received the following words from a recent person I met who is in the health care business.
It really hit home with me.
Thought I would share it with others and hopefully others will add some encouraging words too that they have received from others while on this lyme journey..
....just enjoy the freedom and independence that is growing as you cycle more with health and less with lyme disease......

Good idea, Kam. This "job" of getting well is a lot of work and we don't have too many who notice that we are working hard.
For me, so many inspiring words come from songs I grew up with. When I really want to just bolt, I break into the song: Do you wanna dance? or Would You Like to Swing On a Star?
I see myself swinging up there and the next thing I know, I'm into "Blue Moon" and then "Moondance" and, of course "Fly Me to the Moon" -
These might date me, but are great get-a-way songs for all time. River songs, too, let me drift away.
Folk Alley www.folkalley.com is great to listen to from computer. It connects me with the world out there. That is inspiring for me - getting out of myself as much as I can and seeing and hearing what others have going on.
I like the idea of a bedtime candlelight sing-a-long to melt all our cares away.

Lisa,
That was good.
I am trying to recall what a person said to me when I first moved here.
I was out in my power chair and having a really rough time of it.
She walked by and said something about how she thought a lot of people who overcome obstacles and do what they can. NOt her words. Can't recall her words but the concept.
It meant a lot to me and was greatly appreciated.

I changed the subject line because that is what I originally had in mind.
We have the thread on dumb things doctor's have said to us.
Thought it would be good to have one on encouraging or good things doctor's and others have said.
All of the encouraging words here help...especially on those days when we need it the most.
