Forget the Bucket List!
I was laying here thinking of things I really want to do when I get better. It started with a commercial that showed kids doing karate, and I thought of how much I wanted my son to be able to go to karate, but for the last four years he hasn't been able to be involved in any extracurricular activities.
So, I started my "Better List"!
Better List:
Cody - karate lessons Friends over Photography class Cooking class Yoga Church Date night Family night Vacation

The same question was asked recently in a local support group. Most said they wanted to travel again and visit people.

Wow, I'm feeling really emotional today and this thread brought tears to my eyes. Some days... I forget to dream and who I was before Lyme disease... Anyways, here goes!
Eat every kind of cake, cookie and pie ever made
Make concrete plans without obsessing over how I'm going to feel on that particular day.
socialize (and enjoy it rather than faking and wondering when I can get back home and crash)
Dance until I drop at least once a month.
Have a LARGE glass of wine
Have children.
Spend my money on fun stuff rather than every med/supp. under the sun.
COFFEE (Oh how I miss it!)
Help others get through this mess that is Lyme.
Gosh, just get back out into the world again in every way possible!
Thanks Tracy, for reminding me to dream.
Lauren

I sat in bed and thought about this last night and bam!
Okay I am a bad mother.
My better list would have to focus on my children being symptom free.
Both of them.
I would gladly continue treatment the rest of my life if they would get better.
For good.
Hugs,
Geneal
