I was talking with my sister the other day and she suggested that well known people like the ones in the entertainment industry, sports or politics who have Lyme might help to make folks more aware of this nasty disease.I'm curious who might fit that description?? Does anyone know? [Cool]

I know I don't fit that desciption, but I'm happy to have found this group- people like me who are struggling.

Thanks. I was able to search the thread from late last year. I'm amazed how many famous people have Lyme.I wish they would all rally for the cause. Perhaps some of them are doing something and I haven't heard. Maybe they all feel as bad as we do some days. Didn't Alec Baldwin do a movie on Lyme?

Dear PB4,
I heard Alec Baldwin did a movie on Lyme as well. Amy Tan, the author of "The Joy Luck Club" also has it. Yet another celebrity victim of the disease is Jamie Lynn-Sigler of "The Sopranos". She was actually partially paralyzed for a while. More people are coming out of the woodwork now.

Sincerely,
Jin

I may have missed cutting and pasting some of these, but I tried to get them all. I left out the ones that were speculation. If anyone wants to see the original post, I searched "famous People" and it was from 12/08.

Search "Mary McDonnell, lyme" at You Tube. She did a very nice video when the Columbia lyme center opened.
