I am please to announce 3 new LymeNet Moderators!!!!
They have been members for quiet some time and they are all very well respected. However, some of their identities have been changed.
I believe these members will do a fantastic job and are providing LymeNet with an invaluable service!!!!!
A big thank you goes to them for volunteering!!!
If you would like to report a post, please click on the "Report Post" link at the bottom of the post in question. This alert message will be sent to all the moderators in that forum (the moderators of the forum are displayed at the top of the forum).
They will start off moderating Seeking a Doctor, Activism, Medical Questions, General Support, and Off Topic forums. If adjustments need to be made, I will do so.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Please put your hands together and join me in welcoming Anna Lee, Teekoe95, and sixgoofykids as the new LymeNet Moderators!!!

No, I say both of you should remain to be the trouble makers you normally are. We wouldn't want things to change too much!

This is great! I love the fact that there are now four moderators.
Can we have some of the oldies who have been quarantined come back for a second chance (if they'll have us)?
For example:
*Cobweb *The woman who lives in the countryside in California who was always posting about her goat! *The woman who lives in Northern Calif.
Best wishes,

Can brave said... "Can we have some of the oldies who have been quarantined come back for a second chance (if they'll have us)?"
Not sure what you were told about what went on here... but I'll fill you in... since you asked.
I know for a fact that some people that have been banned from here were given second and even third chances.
I even made a personal pitch to the moderators for some of them to be able to come back.
And they promised me (if I'd stand up for them), and the moderator I appealed to, that they would follow the rules if they were given another chance..
And they BIG TIME didn't follow the rules.
Once finally booted off again for good, they proceeded to make it their mission to attack and trash LymeNet (LymeNut), the moderators here and the members as a group and also individually.
They took posts from here and put them on boards elsewhere .. then attacked individual people and what was being said in our posts.
They continue to read things here and do that... and their attacks and hateful words can be found all over the place.
From what I understand, they have also been tossed out of other groups too and off other boards too .. sometimes more than once.
Folks wrote me and said they were the reason some decent people have left Lyme web sites they would have liked to be at... but refused to be there because of these ex-members.
I can't speak for the moderators, but my guess is those who were banned have used up their welcome and won't be invited back for yet another trial run any time soon.
We as mods still are not the administrators of the website, so that decision would not be up to us anyway. We are here for moderating the board, not for banning members or allowing banned members back in.

Thank YOU goofy mother of 6 normal kids for the explanation back.
I'm sure glad you are a moderator here. You are so kind and sweet and generous and wonderful.
(Guess we all gotta suck up to you now-ha!)
And by the way... you have an important phone call and they want you to pick up the phone to answer the call, in Istanbul Turkey.. so shoo shoo... be on your way now... ASAP. OK?
(Gotta keep her busy and MAYBE she won't see the rule I broke earlier!)
CBL, the woman with the goat was not banned - she chose not to be on the board for a while. (And for old times sake, no, not banned*)!*)!*)!)!!)
I'd love to see Cobby back, but, I don't know if she would want to. Sure was fun, tho.

Once you have the Link page draft ready, Jenifer can review it and post it for you. JamesNYC volunteered to organize the stickies and we are waiting for him to forward them to Jenifer for review. Thank you for compiling the information for LymeNet members.

It is not the moderators duty to delete posts simply because someone does not agree with another's expressed opinion, unless LymeNet rules are violated in the process.
"The first amendment protects not only the speech we admire, but also speech we abhor." Senator Ted Kennedy
To make LymeNet a friendly site:
1. Please remember the moderators are people, just like you. Please try to work with them. We all want LN to run smoothly.
2. You are welcome to bring any alleged wrongdoing to the moderator's attention. Sometimes we don't consider something a problem, sometimes we do.
3. Treat each other with respect. If you're pretty sure that what you are writing would cause the other person to want to scream or fight back, then you need to either reword your posting or not say it at all.
4. Keep all debates civil and treat others with respect. Sometimes the best option is to agree to disagree.
5. Keep a positive attitude, don't be so quick to assume the worst from someone's posting. Above all, remember to treat others the way you wish to be treated, with kindness.
6. The open bully and the sneaky bully can both expect to be edited.
7. If you do not like a post or an opinion, you have the option to scroll on by.
8. Moderators can please some of the people some of the time, but they can't please all of the people all of the time.
9. If you have to wonder if a post is questionable and should be reported, don't report it.
10. Remember the Golden Rule at all times.
