Psalm 4:1

For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A psalm of David.

"Answer me when I call to you,
O my righteous God.
Give me relief from my distress;
be merciful to me and hear my prayer."

Today may we shine like the stars in the heavens! Our Creator makes it possible.

I think this is beautiful.

"Woven in a perfect way,
a blanket of stars covers the night sky,
each star set in its place,
reflecting its perfect light.

All the stars together make a grand display,
glimmering and shimmering
in a unique expression of praise
to the Creator of them all."

(Quote from a perpetual calendar I have, however no author's name so I can't give credit.)

Learned about this on line study this morning. Not sure if I will be able to do this. Waiting until brain is functioning well enough to see if I can read a bit on line.

For now, It is hit and miss just to read what is written on this thread.

But, wanted to pass this resource on in case others might be interested.

I am working at being "...joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer" (Romans 12:12)

Sheila Schuller posted this today.

kam went to the link, I love Beth Moore.

Last year I did her "Beloved Disciple" video/workbook series, plus watched one of her three day confereces for women, oh, WOW!

Both were GREAT! Life changing for sure!

When I get the time I'll look over it too.

Thanks kam.

I have not been able to post much. Just wanted to share this poem by Nancy DeMoss called "The Wait".

"Desperately, helplessly, longingly, I cried;
Quietly, patiently, lovingly God replied.
I pled and I wept for a clue to my fate...
and the Master so gently said, " Wait."

" Wait? You say wait", my indignant reply.
" Lord, I need answers, I need to know why!"
Is your hand shortened? Or have you not heard?
By faith I have asked, and I'm claiming your Word.

My future and all to which I relate,
Hangs in the balance, and you tell me to wait?
I'm needing a ' yes' a ' go-ahead' sign.
Or even a ' no' to which I'll resign.

You promised, dear Lord, that if we believe,
we need to but ask, and we shall receive.
Lord, I've been asking, and this is my cry:
I'm weary of asking! I need a reply.

Then quietly, softly, I learned of my fate,
as my Master replied again, " Wait."
So I slumpled in my chair, defeated and taut,
and grumbled to God, " So I'm waiting... for what?"

He seemed then to kneel, and His eyes met with mine...
and He tenderly said " I could give you a sign."
I could shake the heavens and darken the sun.
I could raise the dead and cause the mountains to run.

I could give you all you seek and pleased you would be.
You'd have what you want, but you wouldn't know Me.
You'd not know the depth of my love for each saint.
You'd not know the power that I give to the faint.

You'd not learn to see through the clouds of despair;
You'd not learn to trust just by knowing I'm there.
You'd not know the joy of resting in Me,
When darkness and silence are all you can see.

You'd never experience the fullness of love,
When the peace of my spirit decends like a dove.
You would know that I give, and I save, for a start,
But you'd not know the depth of the beat of my heart.

The glow of My comfort late into the night,
The faith that I give when you walk without sight.
The depth that's beyond just getting what you ask,
From an infinite God who makes what you have last.

You'd never know should your pain quickly flee,
what it means that My grace is sufficient for thee.
Yes, your dearest dreams overnight would come true,
But oh, what a loss, if I lost what I'm doing in you.

So, be silent, my child, and in time you will see,
that the greatest of gifts is to truly know me...
and though oft My answers seem terribly late,
my most precious answer of all is still " WAIT."

MorningSong, WOW--I think I am wordless--WOW!

But I want to type something. I'm thinking.

From my experience--truer words were never spoken!

MorningSong, you're in my prayers. His joy does come in the morning and may He give you a special, special song in the night!

I found this among my mother's things after she passed away.

She went through some very tough times and I think it gave her comfort.

It has done the same for me, so I will share it with all of you in hopes it will help you through the rough spots as well.

God hath not promised sun without rain,

Joy without sorrow, peace without pain.

But God hath promised strength for the day,

Rest for the laborer, light on the way,

Grace for the trials, help from above,

Unfailing sympathy, undying love.

from "A Day of Private Prayers"

by John Baillie

linky123, very special for you to share that with us as it belonged to your mother. Yes, very comforting words. Thank you.

This morning I am watching "Hour of Power" and it's very inspiring. They are on a series titled, "Unsinkable Hope". To watch today's service online go to

http://www.crystalcathedral.org/

It opened with a young man singing a beautiful song that I have not heard in quite a while, "I'll walk with God". I found a YouTube video link of that song. Beautiful and comforting too.

linky123, Matthew 11:28, AMEN!

Be blessed today in Jesus Name!
