You learn that a seat belt buckle makes a pretty good branding iron!
When the temperature drops below 95... you feel a little chilly!
Hot water comes out of both taps!
The best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance!
And... you discover that asphalt has a liquid state!

It's so hot here; the cows are giving evaporated milk, and the corn is getting sun burned ears.

Someone is going to have to explain MADDOG'S post to me, I'm still confused!
Oh wait, I just reread the posts, and I GOT it, HA! HA!
Here in Phoenix I think we invented hot! I even saw a lizard outside the other day, out of breath, panting! (Either that, or doing little push-ups, very cute!)
Also a good way to boil water is to leave your water bottle in the car when you go into the store. Great fun when you go to take a sip when you get back and you're so thirsty and you think, "it can't be that hot, I was only in there for a few minutes!

Ok ok I get it now - where y'all are, you don't call em cows - you call them hamburger, well done.
And Lymetoo, honestly, I guess a moderator can't ban herself for her language here - just wait till 6 hears about this -

Yeah - TC isn't taking any heat for having started all this, and here I'm shivering in our usual damp fog and being teased for it - Wwwaaaahhhh!

Yeah, Ms Lyme2, I guess you've heard the Mark Twain line about the coldest winter he ever spent was a summer in SF.
I swear, we can go from sunny downtown to where I have to go out in the boonies, which happens to be next to the ocean which is responsible for all the fog cancelling summer! Please package some of that hot air and send it over here.
Yes, delete the fog. You can do that, can't you, with your newfound powers?
Rday - puddle?

Note: I went from laying here with hot feet due to lyme and company to thinking I might change the lyrics to some song called hot stuff...
looked the song up on u tube
then the brain recalled this thread on LN
now if the brain was working longer than a flash in the pan..i would tie all this in by changing Donna Summers Lyrics
instead...i am joining rday in that puddle

It's so hot I'm rusting!
Hey! That doesn't make any sense!
Oh yeah, I'm in the Pacific NW, dressed head-to-toe in polar fleece! Summer here starts on the fifth of July. (Get it?)
(For those who don't, it rains on all the Fourth of July picnics and fireworks, then summer starts the next day.)

BoxerMom, would you mind telling me about what your name means? I was just wondering, because my son used to be in the Navy and he was on the USS Boxer, so I was wondering if you were a fellow Boxer mom!
So, when summer finally does get there, how hot does it get?

BoxerMom, I just read in the post about names, that it's because you have two wonderful Boxer DOGS! Ok, question asked and answered! Hope your husband feels better, babesia is a four letter word in my house.
