After last weeks amazing "God Thought" thread...I just think this verse is appropriate.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28,NIV).

This blows my mind...when I think about that verse...it is one of the GREATEST miracles of all!

Amen and right on time! I have been thinking of you all...

I had a consult with my doc on monday and my head

has been spinning ever since. She said that I am IGM recent infection positive for EBV and it looks like I have recently had CMV -- she is sending the paperwork.

I was in a state of shock as she said that she has never seen this before and wants me to also see an ID doc. We are continuing treatment as I am doing well on it. PRAISE GOD!

I know all of these med folks that have I guess raised my fears so to speak... all want to know what is causing my immune system to be so out of whack. When I think likely it is the Lyme from what I have read here.

Praise God too, I do not feel like I have EBV. I have had mono before and believe you me... I knew I had it. So, Daisy, your verse above is what I most needed tonight... Thank you for helping me to sleep soundly... in His arms.

I do know that he does not give us more than we can handle... even if we can't see it. I think He knows my biggest struggle in my life has been with fears and being out of control... well, I don't think I could be more out of control with all of this than I am now... SO-- TOTAL Dependence.

He keeps telling me, my child, I have you taken care of... and I need to rest in that. My love to you all. I will catch up more fully tomorrow. [group hug]

Good morning God Thought Friends!

daisy,

I love Romans 8:28!!

Thank you God!

[woohoo]

Thanks for joining in to pray for Misfit and her daughter.

sjo,

Just wanted to say hi, and good to see you here!

[hi]

Amelia,

I am sorry that you have this new medical info to deal with.

It is a good sign that you are doing well on your current treatment.

God knows what is happening and will continue to guide you.

Perhaps your body was able to fight off those infections and they ran their course.

I understand fear and being out of control.

I have been finding peace with this in the last week.

You are a positive person. I love that you can say that God has you taken care of and you can rest in that! [kiss]

I hope that the morning brings you even more peace and contentment in knowiing that God WILL take care of you.

Big hugs to you!!!

[group hug] [group hug] [group hug] [group hug]

Yep. That's the verse I have on Facebook!

Thought of Diane here... but you will all love it...

Michael English and the Gaither Vocal Band singing:

"I Bowed on My Knees and Cried Holy" ... oh yeah! [Smile]

PS... What prompted me to find this online was that I heard a performer sing this last night at a show I went to. I hadn't heard the song in several years, so I wanted to hear it again. It is AMAZING!

I had a very bad night last night. But the good news is:

When I woke up this morning, my first thought was to praise God and thank Him for my many blessings.

This morning, as I sat on my back porch, in the beautiful sunshine and calm breezes, I remembered Daisyribs last post on the previous thread about attitude.

So as I took my medicines, I thought about how they are killing the Lyme and the Babesia.

I felt calm, not physically well, but spiritually VERY WELL. The song, "It is Well With My Soul" came into my head.

I wish I knew all the verses, but the refrain is repeating itself in my head.

Also, I have been lamenting the loss of my job ( I had to leave a career I loved due to Lyme). But today, instead of missing my work, I have been thinking that I have a NEW job.

Now, I need to work on getting healthy: physically, mentally and spiritually.

That's a big job.

I am enthusiastically embracing my new job.

wow.. this is a long way from depression.

thank you, all of you.

My dear God Thought friends,

Do you feel sorry for yourself some days? I'm sure we all do at times.
Let me tell you a little story:

My grandson Kameron has albinism... meaning he is an "albino". With albinism; there is no pigment in the skin, hair, eyes.

Kameron is legally blind and light pains his eyes, which means he must wear sunglasses.
Kameron only sees in one diminsion. So.... He falls up hills, he falls down hills. Can't put white rice on a white plate, can't put ketchup on a red plate.

When Kameron plays outside he has to wear sun screen...he will burn within 10min. of exposure to the rays.

This morning my Kameron felt sorry for himself.
He bellowed out "Why did God make me this way!!!"
very angry.

Kameron didn't go to school today, instead we went to the "park benches", sat on many... lost count.
I told my dear grandson that God loves him deeply
and God finds him absolutely beautiful... "you stand out in the crowd with your head held high with that glowing smile for all the world to admire, because you are wonderfully made in God's
image."

When we were finished with all our benches we fed the ducks and cheered with a cup of coffee and chocolate milk.

I guess what I am trying to say is... even when we have ripples in life; it's okay to cry, but then smile, laugh, and have a skip to your walk. Look up to the sky and say, "Thank you Lord!!"

Lymetoo,

Beautiful song!! Thanks for posting it!!

sjo,

You are an inspiration for people facing hard times.

Your choice to have a good attitude and to praise God will take you a long way.

I'm so glad you joined us here on God Thought.

I think that you are going to be very successful at your new job. [Wink] [group hug]

Diane,

Oh my, what a good grandmother you are!!!

Kameron is lucky to have you, and you to have him.

Dear sweet Kameron. He can teach me alot. You
also teach me alot, Diane.

You handled this situation beautifully!

You are truly a gift from God for Kameron. This story made me cry. Makes me think I am not so bad off.

Thank you for sharing your story with us.

It is a good lesson.

[group hug] [kiss] [group hug]

WOW! Lymetoo. I had to come back and listen to your song again. Oh, Wow. I didn't realize I had so much hair on my arms, until all the goose pumps popped up all over again.
Thank you so much for sharing.

Dekrator... Now, my story wasn't meant to make you cry. Kameron isn't bad off...He is a typical 8 year old. just has limitations... we never say can't... you can do anything.(within limits)
Kameron wants to grow up and be a race car driver. I won't take that dream away from him.

Good Evening God Thought Friends,

That was great reading....ahhhhhh...perfect, and especially wonderful to read before I hit the hay. I can go to my "park bench" now and pray for your specific prayer needs, I can rejoice with those of you who are rejoicing, and I can rest in His peace knowing He has all of us, and this whole world in His hands...oh, yeah, and He has heaven too in His hands.

Lymetoo, Thanks for sharing that song about heaven. Our blessed hope is the SURE hope of eternal life and heaven (not hope so). While I was listening to the song I had a (kinda silly) thought, "If you live just for this life only...you'll be gravely disappointed." I know..ugh...Folks you KNOW what that means...I'm getting t i r e d... [Big Grin]

Seriously, contentment and joy comes from living for God, for others, and living with the eternal view in mind....body, and spirit (ok, Rhonda, stop it and go to bed)...

Seriously, too, I am tired. I know my body needs more rest and I am disciplining myself in that area. So for now it is night night...and I'll see you all tomorrow on God thought, Lord willing, and look forward to responding.

Sleep well knowing He has you in the palm of His hand!

You all are angels on this earth...

Thank you Dekerator for your encouragement. I have chosen to believe that my body has fought these off. I already feel better with that frame of mind....Thank you for putting that out there...

MDW - what a beautiful story. You are right... at the end of our day- we do need to lift our head up and say THANK YOU LORD. As I was walking through Target for my scripts I saw a dear woman obviously going through cancer and thought, pray for her and QUIT feeling sorry for yourself! So yes, I get it...

So much of this battle is attitude and I believe we can look at as an opportunity to learn what God wants us to learn on HIS WAY to Healing us...

Sjo... you are an inspiration. Yes, a long way from depression and like all of us here... WE do have a FULL TIME job now of taking care of ourselves... so important!

Lyme too and everyone else- dear Daisy too-- I too am beat but wanted to thank you all for being such an ENCOURAGEMENT... God Bless! Amy

Good Afternoon God Thought Friends,

Hope, encouragement, endurance...

Romans 15:4 (NIV)
"For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope."

[woohoo] [woohoo] [woohoo]

Thank you God Almighty for giving us the strength and endurance we need.

You encourage us every day with your promise of eternal life and the sacrifice you made for us.

We have hope to get through each day because of You!! [bow]

Friends, I pray that the rest of your day is filled with hope and encouragement knowing that we are in His hands! [kiss]

Sorry my inbox is full again. Please hold off sending me any more until can get my PMs cleared out. Thanks MDW for letting me know...I will let you know...will be soon.

17hens,
I just want to say again...your posting of http://ransomedheart.com/ has blessed me so much. In my mind I keep going back to the "Park Bench". I really like that story and picture. My "Park Bench" experience this morning was wonderful. I sooooo need to go there more often and will.

Amelia,
I thank God (with everyone else) that you are doing so well on your treatment. I remember when I relapsed, again, fear began to rise up inside of me, and then I remembered a quote from Dr. Jernigan's book, "Beating Lyme Disease", "My desire is to see you liberated from the fear of Lyme Disease." From that moment on, with God's help, I have not lived in fear of Lyme. That is a big, Thank God, from me. I have God's peace.

Lymetoo,
I shared that song "I bowed on my knees and cried holy" with my hubby too...imagined the angels around the throne crying out, "Holy, holy, holy!" Amazing to picture. My hubby and I talked about heaven. WOW...words cannot even explain what it will really be like--a perfect place with no pain, suffering, no tears, no...etc...but God does a pretty good job sharing about it in the Bible! [Big Grin] So you have God's 911 on your Facebook.

sjo,
Sorry you had that bad night...waking up praising God...WOW, awesome you and your Goditude!

I really like that song, "It is Well With My Soul". The story behind the song is on Wiki...also the verses and refreain at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It_Is_Well_with_My_Soul The man who wrote that song...all I can say is that is some amaaaaazing grace and peace he experienced. And what a blessing that song has been to, probably, millions of people.

It gave me a wonderful chuckle reading about your new job...and other's comments about that. It is definitely worth the hours you put into your new job and the payback will be better than any paycheck you've ever received. Yup, I do like your Goditude...and I am so with you on getting healthy: physically, mentally and spiritually. [woohoo]

MDW,
Kameron is so very precious and special...just like his grandmother. He is one blessed boy. God DOES have special plans for him...today, tomorrow, and forever! He is already touching people's lives. Thanks for sharing about him.

"Park Benches" are sure very special places. And they really are...you find them in many of the most beautiful sites...and the most beautiful site of all is the one in the presence of the Lord.

I have a friend who is blind and when we're together I realize all the "sight" words I use...like "Good to see you"...

I recently saw that book somewhere too. Got me curious, will have to check it out online.

Dekrator,
What a wonderful encourager you are. We do go back a while. I am always blessed by what you share. Thank you for that beautiful scripture and your words of faith. You are a faithful God Thought friend! Praying Our God of Hope fills YOU with all hope and joy today.

Another one of my favorite scriptures...God's 911, that you shared, "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust" Psalm 91:1-2 (NIV). (And Lymetoo as you shared you have that on your Facebook...that's cool.)

Any word on Misfit's daughter?

Everyone have a joyfulllll evening...we are loved with an everlasting love. THAT should put a smile on your face...it sure does mine.

Blessings all!!!

Daisyrib,

Last week you asked if I had enough information.

Honestly, I don't think I do.

I don't understand "detoxing".

And I have stopped reading the Medical questions section because it was so depressing.

I do have Dr. S book the Lyme Solution, and I am reading it.

It is overwhelming. How could I possibly figure out what to do from that? I would need a doctors degree.

I have taken a few suggestions from the Medical questions.

I tried to send you a PM, but couldn't figure out how to do it.

I don't know how to tell if the pain if from a)herxing b) abx not working c)side effects.

WHen I ask my Dr., she just says that its hard to tell.

I know these questions are probably for another thread, but I wanted to respond to your question,

thanks for all your comments and posts.

sjo,

My guess is when you tried to PM me my inbox was full and that is why it was not working...Now I have cleaned it out. So sorry that happened...I just cleaned it out not too long ago. Yikes...I gotta do that more often.

To send me a PM click on my name "daisyrlb" and it should open up and you can send me a message.

Again sorry. Would you please try to send that PM again? Thanks.

"Everything" can seem quite overwhelming. I encourage you to take it a day at a time. You feel like you have to know everything now, but you don't. God knows the beginning from the end and we can experience peace from God resting in the palm of His hand.

I too have Dr S's book...it is pretty technical and also I read all of Dr B's guidelines...and have benefited from them. I have read some of Dr K's info online...and I have read all of Dr J's (my doctor, KS) book. I glean what I can from each. There is just so much info out there it can be hard to know where to start and even what to do.

Hmmmm, soooo, perhaps a good place to start is at my hubby's starting place. He started a thread back in January and chronicled (like a diary) what was going on with him and Lyme Disease...it shares his path with some unexpected twists and turns.

He posted, I posted, other people joined in, and the thread still continues. So it is more like a novel (not fiction) I guess...and easy to read (I think). Yet it explains decisions made, why, even talks about detoxing as we learned about it.

I trust his thread will be helpful to you. Following is the link...BTW it is four pages long and I think the link starts on page 1.

http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/1/89968?

Precious sjo, Just said a prayer for you.

Dear God Thought Friends,

Tonight on the "Park Bench" this Psalm came to my mind...may you be as blessed as I was when I read it...

Psalm 121 (New Living Translation)

1 I look up to the mountains--
does my help come from there?

2 My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth!

3 He will not let you stumble;
the one who watches over you will not slumber.

4 Indeed, he who watches over Israel
never slumbers or sleeps.

5 The Lord himself watches over you!
The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade.

6 The sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon at night.

7 The Lord keeps you from all harm
and watches over your life.

8 The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go,
both now and forever.

Awesome God, He keeps watch over us...our coming and our going NOW and FOREVER! AMEN! [bow]

Good Morning Friends!!

daisy,

Thank you for your kind words.

I still say you are "Super Encourager" with a cape that has a big "E" for Encourager on it!! [Big Grin]

You swoop in to give us the encouragement we need just at the right time!

God DID fill me with joy and hope!

I was blessed when I read Psalm 121. Beautiful!!

Thank you Lord for watching over us!!! [bow]

daisy, I hope you have a blessed day!!

sjo,

It can be hard to figure out how a new forum works...I remember that from when I was new here.

Another way to send daisy a PM is to go to any of daisy's posts....like the one just above mine here.....at the top of her post you will see the date and time....right next to that are 3 icons....click on the icon that looks like 2 people standing next to an envelope.

A screen will open...then write your message and click "send new private message" at the bottom of that screen.

I'm thinking of you all this morning.

I am blessed to have you as my friends.

I have to run now....going to some yard sales and my grandson's soccer game.

Have a great day in the name of the Lord..and remember....He is watching over us always!

Good Morning Precious God Thought Friends,

Jesus is and will ALWAYS be there for us. Is there a more beautiful name?!

A number of years ago, I had the opportunity to attend a service with Dennis Jernigan leading in worship...and worship...we did!!!"

He writes,
"You are my strength...
You are my treasure...
You fill my cup...
You lift me up...
You are my all in all!"

Be blessed as you worship, "You Are My All In All"

Need to go to the Mountains and do some soul breathing while picking apples with the boys. Thank you for the beautiful scripture and well... the song I had to turn off as soon as the first tear came out.
I have cried enough this morning don't have time to fix my eyes again. smile. Will listen to the song tonight.

have a great day everyone.

Thank you, daisy, for posting Psalm 121 - I printed it out and will put it in my kitchen where I will read it often.

I know there is a song with the words from Psalm 121 but I can't seem to find it.

I did find these though...

17hens.... Thank you for sharing your songs that my heart need to feel. Everytime I see a park bench I think of you.

Daisy.... I am listening to your song, bringing tears to my eyes as I listen to the song as I write, but I am going to listen till the end of the song.
I have been so in need of the scripture and songs today. Thank you.

Dekrator.... Hope, Encouragement, Endurance...yes I needed those words today. Thank you. Hope you had a wonderful time with your grandsons.

I was informed today that I am going to hell and God won't save me because I am a sinner, and that I was riding the same bus so I can be put through hell before I got there.

Well I made it to Blue Ridge Mountains today. I read my Bible all the way.... until I got to curving roads. Just breath taking... Ga. is such a beautiful state. We have mountains, Atlantic ocean, swamps, forests, flat lands, rolling hills, marshes.So...so beautiful.... who wants to come visit me?

daisy,

I forgot to answer your question about an update on Misfit's daughter...so sorry.

On 9/16, Misfit posted that her daughter was going to stay with her aunt, and Misfit hoped that she would get back into counseling.

So good news...she was found and is ok.

Please continue to pray that Misfit's daughter gets the help that she needs. Please pray for Misfit and her other daughter also, who have been suffering in all ways (physically, mentally etc) because of this crisis.

MDW,

You're welcome. So glad you made it to the mountains and enjoyed the beauty of God's land....sounds so beautiful.

I did enjoy our grandsons today.....I'm worn out though.

Soccer game was at 11 am and then they came over to play. We just took then home at 7:30 pm....I don't know how you do it.

You must be a very strong, patient and loving person. [kiss]

Good Morning Friends,

Great news about Misfit's daughter. Thank You God, You are almighty! See you later...

Just watched "The Hour of Power" on TV. You can watch it online too. Everything about the service was inspiring.

Guest Interview was John Crowley (a father trying to save his children) the real father of which the movie, "Extraordinary Measures" with Harrison Ford was made.

The message was preached by a 24 year old young man, Nick Vujicic...born with no arms and no legs. Amazing!!!!!

It will be worth your time to watch it. I'm going to see if I can download this service to my computer so I can watch it again and again...It's that good!

The link is below. This webpage will become archived so, if you go to this page later, look for the title of the service"Victory in God's Grace and Perfection".

Today in church I couldn't stop crying. ( I started Mepron on Thurs, and have been told that it might make me sad).

I guess I just need to give everything to Him, physical pain, mental pain, sadness.

This is the day the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.

I will think about the things I CAN do.

Daisy and friends!!!!

I have a story to tell...yes again [lol]
Yesterday, I was on my knees begging for forgiveness.... today I am on my knees praising and worshiping my Almighty Beautiful Father!!

The devil can not penetrate through my shield today....and he has tried. God is all around me.

Today I really did not want ot go to church; my daughter Stefanie said she would come take me. Well, plans changed and we met at church. To my pleasing surprise her husband came today. This is a man that said NO! I was in tears again. Dentry has been baptized but never took communion......I helped him....again...here come the tears.
My daughter Stefanie will be baptized in Nov.
God hears His childeren. God I am holding on!!
I love you God!

Daisy...I started listening to hour power but will need to later finish.

daisy,

Thanks for the link to the service.

I will go back and watch it when I have more time.

I can always use some inspiration.

sjo,

Yes, give all your suffering to Him.

God is sooooo great that He is willing to help us with all our needs.

The positive beginning to the day was that you were able to make it to church! [woohoo]

Another positive....You are here on God Thought, and you are a blessing to us!!!

Lord, please help sjo heal from her physical and emotional pain. Allow her to feel peace and love through your comfort. I pray this in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

MDW,

I love your enthusiasm!!

I am so happy to hear how your family is opening their hearts to God!!!!

That is such a great feeling! [woohoo]

You are really being a great influence in their lives, Diane!!

I am praying and praying that some of my family members do the same.

Hi Everyone: This weekend has been one of true rest for me. And, I needed it. I am trying to take some herbals to help kick these viruses and I know they will be kicked.

You all are such inspirations! Thank you Daisy for all of your ENCOURAGEMENT. I loved what you had to say about being liberated from the fear of lyme. You know - I had a true come to Jesus with Jesus this weekend.

Sojo before I get into that I want to say that I am thinking of you and you will find peace in all of this if you turn it over. It is a ONE DAY AT A TIME deal... Just like the prayer that includes our daily bread... it means we have to come to HIM everyday to receive what we need. This has never been more clear to me than it is now. I am sorry for your pain... I have been there too... We are all here praying for you.

17 Hens so glad to see you are doing well... God is so good!

Dekerator- your spirit is contagious and I really look forward to hearing how you are doing!

MDW- I think we should all carivan to see you! The Blue Ridge would probably do us all some good! So glad you enjoyed your time picking apples...

Thank you all for being a TRUE BEACON in the night... When I was at my lowest lows and they were devastatingly Low-- you all REMINDED me by your encouragement and example that GOD LOVES US so very much and that I had to just spend enough time to get that... The book I just got in the mail is AMAZING!

Prayer Faith and Healing by- Kenneth Winston Caine et al

[bow]

He really came to me on Friday night to the point that I was moved to absolute tears. There was a part in the book that talked about a scriptural passage that had love as a part of it and that when researched, it was found that at that time it not only meant LOVE but COMMITMENT. That may sound silly to some but it moved me to tears. I thought the love was enough... thus I was moved to tears!

I will try to find it. I am going to head to the grocery... staples are needed and to Barnes and Noble as I want to get the book by Norman Vincent Peale... I used to laugh about him... He is referenced all through the above book and I had no idea he was a minister. He truly believes that we manifest what we truly believe... I will always take encouragement! [Smile] Love to you all!

Amelia,

So glad you had a come to Jesus weekend!!! [woohoo]

What could be better than that??

I can imagine you healing from those viruses!

Keep thinking positively!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm always happy to hear what books you and others are reading.

Anything to encourage us is GOOD...and God is the ultimate good!!

Friends,

Here's something positive, even if it's small...

I went back on doxy about 2 weeks ago (along with plaquenil). It is a low dose right now because I am adding TOA free cat's claw slowly (ramping up by one drop per day).

A few days ago, I noticed a difference in the quality of my neck and head pain.

I knew from being on doxy before that it was the only drug that helped my pain at all so far.

I had gone off for summer for 3 months and looked forward to starting it again, since my pain worsened when I was off of it.

Today I noticed that I do have less head and neck pain!

I still have a long way to go with pain, but this is an improvement, and I will take it!!!!

I see my LLMD this week, so I expect to increase my doxy dose back to the normal dose, which I am hoping will help even more.

Thank you God for guiding me and encouraging me and leading me to this site where incredible people are always ready to share and encourage too!!

Prayer, faith , healing......yes!!!

Thank you again for your continued encouragement... and yes this board... and this thread in particular is GOD ordained for sure...

I am thrilled for you and will continue praying that your pain decreases daily...

thank you for your comments and your prayers.

I am certain that God loves me. I am wavering in my belief that I will ever get well.

My pain levels are getting very bad, and I don't see my Doc until Tues.

Please God, give me strength, and a good dose of Hope, and Faith.

Right now, I feel like such a baby, and all of you are so strong.

sjo.... You will get better. God is already guiding you. Remember attitude Love, and God.
I am re-posting what daisy posted last week for all of us:

I saw this...that someone else posted on one of the Lyme forums and I thought it was really good and fits with what we are talking about. I'm sure this person would be glad for me to share this:

"I've worked hard to get my health back. Thing is, I already led a very healthy lifestyle before my treatment, so what next? I worked on my attitude, because I believe the mind is central to the process of healing.

Here are four things that really helped:

1. I stopped "holding up the ceiling". If things were not perfect, I let it be. I let people help me and I simplified everything and made sure that I was content with the results. No matter how little I accomplished in a day, I was pleased, and when I accomplished a great deal, I celebrated.

2. I stopped regarding my antibiotics as "poison". I was closing my eyes, gritting my teeth and taking my medicine even though I hated everything about it. Instead, I started to regard the antibiotics as the cavalry that was going to bring help and relief to my beleaguered immune system. I visualized it charging in and killing the bacteria, and hunting down the craftier ones in hiding. So some things get trampled on by the horses -- small price to pay. While before I had dreaded dosing time, I came to look forward to it and to welcome the opportunity to change up to other medications or increase dosages. Yes, it was very difficult to look forward to yucky Mepron!

3. I made sure I didn't regard myself as a victim, didn't feel sorry for myself, and did not regard this as any kind of tragedy. There is always someone worse off than you. Further, I did not expect anyone to understand or be particularly helpful, but welcomed it if the were.

4. I identified what it is I live for and held on for dear life. I also made a short and do-able list of things I want to do when I am well and kept my eyes on the prize.

Good Healing, everybody!"
( I couldn't have said it better myself ) [Big Grin]

This is what comforts me.

Jesus knows our pain.

The word excruciating came from the Latin or Greek term "out of crucifying".

When I am in excruciating nerve pain, I talk to Jesus about this. I know he went through this while on the cross. He took our sin on and our pain. Every single type of pain that a person might experience on this earth.

He didn't have to do that.

Also, we know that dying on a cross is one of the worst types of torture.

I remember a pastor preaching about it.

I googled it tonight to find more info.

Also, I have been listening to Amy Grant's C.D. called "Rock of Ages"

there is a song on that C.D. that is giving me great comfort. It is very easy to sing. So I sing it all day long.

"Lay down your burdens
I will carry you,
I will carry you ,
my child, my child,

It is such a soothing song, like a lullaby.
I haven't been able to listen to music, watch t.v. or handle any type of sounds at all.

I even need a fan on all day , to create white noise for me. It helps my brain somehow. My room also has to be very dark all the time.

I think I will write Amy Grant a letter about what a blessing this C.D. is.

The C.D. is

Amy Grant
Rock of Ages
Hymns and Faith

the song is called "Carry You"

May God bless all of you,
Thank you for such wonderful postings here!
It has lifted me up out of the valley.

Dekrator... That is awesome! I know you have had alot of pain, so happy to hear God is answering.
You have maintained your faith in God and have had a great attitude with scriptures even when the downs were more than the ups.
Praise God you are having relief.

Amelia..... SC is only a stone throw away from me.
You wrote: "When I was at my lowest lows and they were devastatingly Low-- you all REMINDED me by your encouragement and example that GOD LOVES US so very much and that I had to just spend enough time to get that."

You know what.... If it were not for each one of you here teaching me and sharing your life with your
ups and downs and how God has been there for you,
I don't know if I would be as strong as I am today.... So.... I diddo what you say!
Our God is so amazing.

sjo,

Please don't think that you are weak and we are strong. It isn't true!

I started mepron this past thursday too, and i've had 3 anxiety attacks (i guess that's what they were) and just a sideways look will make me cry big tears.

I crave my dark, cool "office" room where my computer is, when i talk on the phone i always have it on speaker as holding it up to my ear is too much to handle, and i spoke w/ a lady today for an hour and had to come home and take a nap.

Believe me, life is not spiffy. BUT, i know that this drug, this yellow paint, is what my body is craving right now. And love it - finger licking good!!

Thank you Lord for providing yellow paint for this tired body. You know my needs. I know this is the path I have to take to healing and I am so very glad for this path.

Hope you feel better soon. Hope we both do! Nah, hope we ALL do!

thank you SO MUCH

17 hens, I like that: "finger licking good"... it made me laugh!! Now I will think of you when I have to take that stuff!

Missing,
When I read that God will carry me... I had this image of Jesus inside of me with a sword and shield.. He was fighting the Lyme, Bart and Babesia.

I was behind the shield, in the crook of His arm,
(like the pictures of Him carrying the lost lamb). I was perfectly safe.

The best part was that I didn't have to fight anymore. HE was fighting for me.

I was at rest.... in peace.

I don't have to fight this disease. God will take care of it.

I will remember that I have this peace for today, and tomorrow, I will need to take more nourishment from Him.

He is my daily bread... I never thought of it that way before.

Good night everyone. I love all of you.

Sjo, I am not far from your journey... everyone here can testify to that.

What Diane restated above is so true... I had devastating lows to the point that I questioned whether my life was worth living ... Mepron induced whatever, it was not a good time.

This group solely led me out of that place... so in essence through them Jesus saved my life and had the opportunity to truly reach me. When times were bad, I would come here and just HOLD on... Hold on to His love for me... Hold on to that still small voice, that said, do not worry my child, I have you under my care. It was just sometimes my mind that had to BELIEVE it. That has been a journey. When we seek Him, We truly do find him and I know he is doing all he can to comfort you right now... Trust that...

For me Trusting was very hard... Trusting that I would be healed really. When I read that it is God's will that we be healed as evidenced in the Our Father...

Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven ...

There is NO SICKNESS in Heaven and another one... By his stripes we are healed. He died so that we would be both Forgiven and HEALED....

As Charles Stanley says- when it is God's will that something happen (our healing) then HE PROVIDES to see that it is accomplished. I TRUST this with my life... I Trust that His timeframe will be PERFECT. I think without this belief, it is hard to fathom that we can be healed... The Belief has to override our questioning minds at times and believe you me, the Devil trys to edge his way in often. But I say Satan, get thee behind thee (it works for me [Smile] ). Fear, anxiety etc are not of God they are of the devil and No longer am I going to Live in FEAR. No more...

So you see Sojo... you have helped me too... When we share with one another... we are better ...

17 Hens You crack me up... that Mepron... geesh, but with the BEAUTIFUL post that you shared Diane, well, lets just say, another check for my attitude. That will be posted near my computer -- what I look at everyday.

As coincidence would have it... or Godincidence, I was listening to Charles Stanley tonight (intouch.org) and he stated the scripture I was referring to earlier...

<< Proverbs 27:19 >>

As water reflects a face, so a man's heart reflects the man.

Off to read The Power of Positive Thinking... The things He can do to reach us... [Wink] Hope for all for sure! XOXO

Good morning God friends,
I Love this Psalm. I try and remind myself every morning and would like to share with you.

Psalm 90:14
Satisfy us in the morning with your lovingkindness, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

A healthy breakfast has many benefits...It'll help you have better strength, endurance, concentration, productivity, and creativity. Yet there's nothing as positive or energizing as feeding on God's word in the morning.

God knows what you need before you ever get out of bed; when you spend time with Him, He nourishes you with the perfect diet of joy, wisdom, and strength to fuel you thoughout the day.

So.. before you pour the cornflakes or gulp down that cup of java, remember that your spirit needs to be fed too. Enjoy a hearty helping of God's presence early each morning. You realy will be starting your day in the very best way.

I enjoy spending time with God first thing in the morning, but usually with a cup of java. [Smile]

Ps... Daisy I need another Twila Paris song.

sjo,

I am not so strong either.

I have had many, many weak times. I have also wondered if I will ever get better.

I have been at the point where I understood why people sometimes take their own lives because the pain is so bad and neverending.

I would never do that because of my faith and family, but I understood the depth of that suffering.

I have been at the point where all I could do was lie in bed or sit on the floor and rock back and forth in pain.

I understand.

Then there has been 10 months of unbelievable family conflicts that have taken their toll...and my son is in Iraq to boot.

I understand.

I join with you and others here, in using our faith to give us the hope that we need to get up everyday and feel like God is working for the good in all things, including our health.

Here is hope:

Lamentations 3:22-26 (NIV)

22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.

23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

24 I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him."

25 The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him,
to the one who seeks him;

26 it is good to wait quietly
for the salvation of the LORD.

More hope:

Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)

28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Romans 8:18-39 (New International Version)

Future Glory
18I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

19The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.

20For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope

21that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

22We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.

23Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

24For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has?

25But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.

27And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.

28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.

34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

36As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."

37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[e] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,

39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Psalm 23:1-6 (NIV)

Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,

3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.

4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

sjo, I love the idea of picturing yourself in the crook of Jesus' arm! Wow, I should try that too!

And "He is my daily bread". You said I've never thought of it that way before....me either.

I've heard that said many times, but never thought about it like that...so that helped me too.

So glad you came here, and are finding peace, just like me. [kiss]

I just watched the Hour of Power and all I can say is WOW!!

It is so inspiring to hear the stories of John Crowley and Nick Vujicic!!

Thank you for posting that.

I went to Nick's website and saw this video of him speaking at a prison that will never be the same again....

sjo....

Since we are all digging within our soul here and sharing:

I was not strong at a point in my disease. I found myself several times on the suicide lifeline link. The pain was so horrific I wanted to die. I layed in bed and came up with 50 ways to kill myself.
I didn't even care or think about my family. I was so deep in the dark with pain, and I have a strong thresh hold.

Back in Oct.2009 I begged to God with bunches of promises to take this darkness of pain away.

Guess what... He led me here. I was a very weak being.

Daisy and Dekrator were the only ones that were faithfully with me day in and day out and taught that there was a God. I was never a church person.
Here I am....I have been saved in so many ways.
I love my God and family on God Thought.

My family here has also taught me how to cry...I didn't even know how to do that. Now I am a cry-baby.

Matt Meyhar "Hold Us Together " just came on the radio...How funny is that!

wow.. I thought I was the only one who thought about taking my life.

The pain is THAT bad.

I'm so grateful for the honest sharing.

Although it has definitely crossed my mind, I know that I cannot be that selfish.

Suicide deeply damages families. How do I know?
On January 23, 2001, my nineteen year old daughter took her own life.

I am sharing this because God carried me through that... I don't know how, but He did.

My two other daughters and my husband have all come through this, but the family (obviously) will never be the same.

I am hurting physically and mentally, and I don't understand why, but I do NOW finally understand that there can be pain that is so great that it transcends thoughts of others.

My daughter was in a lot of pain. She had bi-polar disorder and was addicted to drugs.

I am not sure why I am sharing this. I hope I am not offending anyone.

All of the messages today have helped me so much. When I was reading the scriptures Dekrator posted, I even felt some easing of the pain.

Thank you my dear Lord and Savior for leading me to this place, and thank you for opening my heart to a new understanding of my daughter's pain.

(I didn't really have this understanding until I read the messages today)

This thread has become a life line, and I am so sorry for those who do not have God in their lives.

Especially all those people on Lymenet asking medical questions. I think I will pray for them tonight. I have been praying for myself too much.

Hi All Dear Angels.... [hi]

Thank you for your heartfelt sharing today... You all lift me beyond measure...

I am listening to Charles Stanley right now and he says-- you never see a furrow in Jesus' brow... isn't that the truth... He knew where His PEACE was... OUR GOD. Hiding under the shadow of his wings... WE can then give up worry, fear and doubt and anxiety.... The grace of God makes us truly free....

Thank you Dekerator for all of the hope... I continue to pray for your family. I know God is working this all out for Good.

Diane- you too are amazing... Thank you for reminding us that it is important that we be fed by God too... I am so glad you were led here and truly supported...

Sojo you are a love... I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. I imagine that was so very hard to go through. I think it says so much about you to share that with us... We will be here... To lift you to help you as we are all on the same growth road.... It is nice to have friends -true friends along the way. And yes, I pray for the other board as well... I cannot imagine getting through this without God....

Daisy and 17 Hens-- love to you too! Thank you for your light as well....

[group hug]

Dear Friends,

What a week/weekend on God Thought. One thing is for sure, we have all had our share of bumps (and some huge mountains) in life. Only God can get a person through that kind of pain and grief. Thank you for sharing those painful times with your friends on God Thought. God is using those exact things to be an encouragement to others. Who would have guessed? It is...I'm even trying to think of the words...miraculous is the only word that comes to my mind.

May we all be encouraged to see how God has led us...ultimately to Him. He is where true healing begins...healing in every way. How great is our God?! He is faithfully great!

missing,

Welcome to God Thought. You made my day when you said, "Thank you for such wonderful postings here! It has lifted me up out of the valley." "Out of the valley" that's big! That is worth a shout!

What you share is so timely. Jesus knows...what a sweet comfort to us! And He cares and is always with us. The Amy Grant song you shared, beautiful words. So glad the Lord will never leave us or forsake us.

sjo,

We're all praying for you. I can't imagine all you've gone through. May God continue to give you strength and hope. He is the God of all hope. He is the same, yesterday, today and forever...He still does heal today. Tears are good. Rest is good. He is always with you whether you feel Him or not.

Powerful word picture you share, "Jesus inside of me with a sword and shield. He was fighting the Lyme, Bart and Babesia." He does fight our battles for us. Safe in His arms is a mighty good place to be!!!

I remember the Lord spoke to my heart this one time and said, "Do not go where my grace is not yet there." And that would be anywhere in the future...whether it is the next hour or next year. His grace is sufficient, all sufficient, for right now.

Dekrator,

How I rejoice with you that God DID fill you with joy and hope! Seriously, who IS like our God? (Am I saying that a lot?) So worthy to be praised! It is so obvious that God is REAL to you! What an inspiration.

Glad you're feeling some better. All I got to say about that is, oh yeah--Prayer, faith, healing and detox, detox girl, and get your rest. I'm speaking from experience...it really helps!

Look forward to hearing about your appt too.

Thanks for sharing all the verses you posted! There is lots of hope there!

Dekrator, I am speechless after watching that video you shared of Nick, Life Without Limbs, of him sharing at the Solana Prison. Everyone needs to watch that video! Hope with all caps HOPE!!!

17hens,

I like what you share with sjo, "Please don't think that you are weak and we are strong. It isn't true!" That's right as we are all weak. That childhood song comes to my mind,

"Jesus loves me this I know
for the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong
THEY ARE WEAK BUT HE IS STRONG."

And that's the truth! However, the good news, we get our strength from Him. I mean, hello, who is stronger than our God?!

And "finger licking good"!!! We do get our endorfun fixes on "God Thought", even through the pain and darkness, and we know that laughter does good like medicine.

Amelia,

Glad to read about your weekend of rest and your come to Jesus time. The book you are reading sounds quite inspiring. God is surely our example of true love, and His example definitely includes commitment 24/7 or make that from everlasting to everlasting.

About Norman Vincent Peale, I was the same with with Robert Schuller...now almost every Sunday morning before we go to church we watch Hour of Power. Very uplifting. God has His ways...I'm sure He gets a kick out of His children...just like we do ours. Can imagine that we actually make God laugh. What a happy thought. I saw "The Champion in You" on God Thought and that was really great! Worth watching again and again and again.

MDW,

Thank you for your openness and honesty.

I so enjoy the fresh perspective and Godthusiasm you share...it is contagious...and I thank God to be catching it. I know I've said it before, but I do want to say it again...you have a beautiful way with words.

Psalm 90:14 is one of my favorite psalms and I say AMEN, Lord, satisfy me as only You can. Liked your example of the healthy breakfast and healthy presence of God every morning. Now that truly is the breakfast of champions!!! His champions!!!

So glad you re-posted "Four things that really helped" from last week's thread. That is such good stuff from "AchievingGrace".

Liked your story about one day on your knees asking for forgiveness and the next praising Him. That is the life of a child of God. It is a very good life...make that the best life. No place I'd rather be than His!

OK, friends, so every time I think I'm done with this post I look and more posts to read. Then I add another comment above...

so this is it...Smile.

I'll close with a song "Enough" by Chris Tomlin

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EW-toYBiF8o&feature=related

"All of You is more than enough for all I need for every thirst and every need..."

Thank You Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!

Good Night!

One other comment, sjo, thank you for sharing about your daughter...your precious 19 year old daughter.

Prayers for you and all of your family that God's amazing grace and LOVE would surround each one of you like the air around you that you breath.

sjo,
I am so, so, so sorry about your daughter. There are no words to express how sorry I am.

This reminds me that I want to ask you all to pray for my very dear friend, her son and their family situation.

This friend and I reconnected 3 years ago. We met at a restaurant and during dinner she told me that she was in treatment for lyme and I should tell her if she repeated herself because her memory wasn't so good.

The next time we met, I had lyme too. And she walked me thru it, supported me, understood what I was experiencing, and actually told my about lymepa.org which brought me to lymenet.

A year and a half ago, her teenage son became very ill w/ lyme. He's been treated for a year with no improvement and just began treatment for Bart. He has aspbergers (sp?) and asthma too. Anyway, he's in constant pain, been in and out of a wheelchair, ERs, hospitals.

And although it's not my place to say, my friend's marriage is falling apart and the son is so, so very hurt (rejected, emotionally abused) by his father.

For the last two weeks, the boy has been saying he wants to kill himself. All the physical pain and all the emotional pain is becoming too much to bare. He's told 5 teachers now who all say to the mom, "i need to tell you something" and she says, "yes, he wants to kill himself, I know."

I speak with her almost daily and she can not stop crying. She can't eat, vomits daily. Just a bundle of nerves and pain.

She told me last night that lyme has literally ripped their family apart as everything started when she became sick 5 years ago.

Please, please pray for this boy and for his mom.

sjo,

Thank you for sharing your heart with us. I am so, so very sorry for the loss of your beloved 19 year old daughter in 2001.

My heart breaks for you and the unimaginable pain of that tragedy.

It is amazing that our God is so great and so comforting that He got you through that. Praise God.

May God continue to wrap His arms around you and strengthen and comfort you and your family always.

2 Corinthians 1:2-4 (NIV)

2Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,

4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

17hens,

I see we were posting at about the same time, so I'm glad I went back and looked and saw your post.

Thanks for sharing about your dear friend and her son with lyme.

This illness sure does wreak havoc on families.

I will certainly pray for them...that they get the mental, physical, and spiritual help that they need, and quickly.

Please keep us updated.

Hugs to you. You are a good friend.

17hens,

Praying for your friend and her family.

Also, I've added a link which includes suicidehotline numbers. Please share this link, or give the appropriate phone numbers, by state, to your friend.

Although hotlines are setup for the individual in crisis, I imagine your friend could get some valuable information about what she/family can do to help before "something" happens. There is hope! Again, I'm praying!

I just back from brunch with my daughter and read this about your friend.
17hens,
I am praying for your friend and her family. Sounds like they are all going through a crisis that needs tender care and attention.

Please let your friend know that she needs to take her son very seriously. He is crying out and soon he won't say how he feels anymore...he will act on his feelings.
Thanks for letting us know and I have prayed.
