Need advice.

I have been really sick for 4 years.

Treated Lyme and co. for almost 2 years, I think.

I am in extreme pain and so sick.

My LLMD would like to put me on I.V.

That would mean that I would have to move to live near my LLMD.

Should I do that?

I have no money. My husband is really sick with Lyme, but goes to work everyday to help pay for the bills. He cries too because of how sick he is.

My daughter is also sick from Lyme. So, this is costing our family a lot of money already. We are broke and so close to going bankrupt.

We just sold our vehicle to pay for our medical bills.

Sometimes I.V. doesn't work, so should I just change up my meds, and try something new before I try the I.V.

If you have no money, how will you pay for IV? Will your insurance pay?

Some people have managed to do IV even with a distant doc. It usually requires home health nurse visits, or being taught how to do the infusions and dressing changes yourself.

Before you move, figure out what is involved, and how you would pay for it.

as you anyhow move from your mold house, moving closer to the LLMD would not cost more money and efforts. So I would do it.

My LLMD is only about 3 hours away, but in another state. She wrote the order for my PICC line and IV antibiotics, and then I found a family physician here at home willing to work with her and they rewrote her order for the PICC line so my insurance would cover it here (if you get it done at local hospital, usually need an order signed by a local doc with privileges. I obtained an order from my LLMD to be taught independence with weekly dressing change and learn to infuse myself. I hope this informations helps sort of some details of your own. Best of luck.

I have to fly to see my LLMD. I did learn how to do the infusions myself. A home health care nurse came in a changed my needle for my port.

It takes a lot of work getting everything lined up, and sometimes that was more frustrating than the medicines, etc.

But it was worth it and it did help. I think each person is different and responds to meds in their own way.

I hope it all gets worked out for you soon.
