So I've tried multiple hospitals now to take the test kits in and the technicians are all stupified on how to spin the blood, who's gonna pay for the draw, and how and when to ship?
Am I the only one dealing with this?

I went to an independent lab. They had no problem doing it.

My local PCP helped me with a blood draw for Igenex. I had it done early in the week. They charged me for a nurse visit to draw the blood. They spun the sample as usual. I took it and shipped it per kit instructions.
Another time I took the requisition and kit to Labcorp, they did it for me along with my standing order for CBC & CMP. The tech spun the samples down and I shipped the samples to the specialty lab. They did not charge me extra, just the one normal draw fee.

I talked to the lab manager of my local hospital. They were great. They billed me for the venipuncture, etc, but did everything else. Fabulous!!

- lymenow,
Advance phone connection can help. Locate THE person in the lab department who you can count on to find the person who can do it correctly and understand WHY we have to be sure of every detail.
With advance "introduction" of sorts, the lab person is usually better prepared to help us and follow instructions to the letter.
Also find out the time of the FED EX pick up from their lab, how long they need to draw and process, etc.
Your lyme support groups leaders and members may have names for you. regarding both draws / shipping and also for billing questions, etc.
Your LLMD may already have such contacts for you. -
