I added my family members to the map [Smile] There is another great awareness campaign out there that isn't getting a big response: We are the 300,000+; Lyme Media Campaign.

IF they can get 500 pictures, Huffington Post is going to run a Lyme Story!!

I couldn't get the map to stop spazzing out - like my eyes trying to mark my state with it moving about. How did you guys manage to do that while it's zooming about?

I then did manage to type in my location in the tab above map but it just froze. Maybe they won't accept anything from my state (like our state medical board)?

The map is still jumping all over the place today. It's a vertigo-inducing machine ! Hope they fix it.

If anyone wants to message me with your info, I'll be happy to post it for you!!!

The site needs:

-City/State where you think you got bit (it is actually easiest to input if you have a street address in this field)
-Your Story (100 word limit)
-Your name or initials
-City/State where you currently live.

Nothing new! I confuse myself.

I had no problem accessing this site. But it forces you to enter an exact address and I am not comfortable doing that! I just want to add a town and state and that's it.

I didn't enter the exact address because I don't KNOW the address of where I was Lymed!

It was on our land in Texas. I just "guessed."

I just entered the town and state and it "forced" me to be more specific. I'll try to go back in at some point and see what happens.

I just put my street name and then their system list all the house numbers on that street.

So I was comfortable with that.

Oh... Since mine was in the country, I just tried to move the little thingy to where I thought it was. I don't even remember the number of the road.

We didn't get infected where we live so that is not an issue.

I am very uncomfortable that the site insists on a range of addresses on a particular street. I would rather just indicate the county/town/area within the town/where one of us was infected. That should be good enough for any survey.

Specific streets and ranges of addresses on those streets is a violation of medical privacy in my opinion.

You don't have to give your name, so that helps.

True, but it's still outside my comfort zone.

I just don't understand why it just isn't enough to report the county/town/area within the town. That's plenty enough data as far as I'm concerned.

Course if any bigwig news mags or papers are willing to do a story on CLUSTERS of folks infected with Lyme/cos, then that's a different story. If that were to ever be the case, which is highly doubtful, I'd offer up my name, rank and serial number in a heartbeat.
