In response to God's merciful activity, we are to worship by living holistic, God-pleasing lives. Our values and viewpoints are not molded by this age, but are transformed by the Spirit's renewing work. God's grace empowers different forms of service among Christians, but all forms of ministry function to build up the body of Christ.

Romans 12:1-8 Good News Translation (GNT)
Life in God's Service

12 So then, my friends, because of God's great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer.

2 Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.

3 And because of God's gracious gift to me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you should. Instead, be modest in your thinking, and judge yourself according to the amount of faith that God has given you. 4 We have many parts in the one body, and all these parts have different functions.

5 In the same way, though we are many, we are one body in union with Christ, and we are all joined to each other as different parts of one body. 6 So we are to use our different gifts in accordance with the grace that God has given us. If our gift is to speak God's message, we should do it according to the faith that we have;

7 if it is to serve, we should serve; if it is to teach, we should teach; 8 if it is to encourage others, we should do so. Whoever shares with others should do it generously; whoever has authority should work hard; whoever shows kindness to others should do it cheerfully.

--

Good afternoon, everyone! Hope you had a great Sunday morning! [Smile] Praying that this week will be a good one for everyone who reads this thread. God loves you!

There are many reasons why God shouldn't have called you. But don't worry. You're in good company.

Moses stuttered.
David's armor didn't fit.
John Mark was rejected by Paul.
Timothy had ulcers.
Hosea's wife was a prostitute.
Amos' only training was in the school of fig-tree pruning.
Jacob was a liar.
David had an affair.
Solomon was too rich.
Jesus was too poor.
Abraham was too old.
David was too young.
Peter was afraid of death.
Lazarus was dead.
John was self-righteous.
Naomi was a widow.
Paul was a murderer.
So was Moses.
Jonah ran from God.
Miriam was a gossip.
Gideon and Thomas both doubted.
Jeremiah was depressed and suicidal.
Elijah was burnt out.
John the Baptist was a loudmouth.
Martha was a worry-wart.
Mary was lazy.
Samson had long hair.
Noah got drunk.

Did I mention that Moses had a short fuse?
So did Peter, Paul - well, lots of folks did.
But God doesn't require a job interview.
He doesn't hire and fire like most bosses, because He's more our Dad than our Boss.
He doesn't look at financial gain or loss.
He's not prejudiced or partial, not judging, grudging, sassy, or brassy, not deaf to our cry, not blind to our need.
As much as we try, God's gifts are free.
We could do wonderful things for wonderful people and still not be... Wonderful.
Satan says, "You're not worthy." Jesus says, "So what? .... I AM."
Satan looks back and sees our mistakes.
God looks back and sees the cross.
He doesn't calculate what you did in '98.
It's not even on the record.

Sure. There are lots of reasons why God shouldn't have called us.
But if we are magically in love with Him, if we hunger for Him more than our next breath,
He'll use us in spite of who we are, where we've been, or what we look like.
Pray that as Christians, we will step out of our limitations into the illimitable nature of who God is.
Then our passion for God and our passion to communicate with Him will make mincemeat of our limitations.

Prayer: Lord, help us that we may not ignore the spiritual food that you prepare for us through the Church. Strengthen us so that we may be ready to fight the enemy by approaching the sacraments seriously. Amen.

Thanks Dekrator. I know what I'll be doing in the morning. [Smile]

I have to see that too Lymetoo. I've seen it listed on cross country radio.
That is awesome Payne!

28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Very Nice Dekator,
I join in the morning service.. with JOY ce.

I have stepped into a new maddness,

relief of my vengance against TICKS

I had a tick crawling on my shoe,

and I put it in a microwaveable container and into my Micro wave and exploded it... YES

I gotta get ahold of myself,,
saw LLMD today, stopping all treatment.. YES.

many improvements the little ones we forgot about... lymememory wizard I am (=

looking at more probiotics and attacking YEAST full throttle...

Placing myself in The Lord's hands, I so love my LLMD

we pray in ernst every visit, its so nice that someone LISTENS TO US.. along with GOD.

be good listeners and reply with thought filled words..

when approached by gloom and oh, you are the guy that claims you got LYMES.. [cussing] [Mad]

I ask The Lord to help us, and show us laughter in those whom condem our efforts..

Lift our hearts and Know we are not alone.

many here are pulling for US all, and know the shoes we where..

just for fun where differant socks and unmatching shoes next time you see a CDC lead doctor..
be joyfull and sing out ! [group hug] [bow]

I Praise The Lord,

for my friends here and there,

They bring Great cheer and song,

when I have fallen, tripped or pushed..

I have Great friends in The Word..

They share joy and more.

They shine my soul and pick up my Heart,

Those friends of mine that know THE LORD,

each a Blessing at a time..

and each placed in my prayers,

Oh, how I would love to hug them all.

and sing aloud, Jesus Loves US..

THAT I KNOW..

I can read that Payne. Not sure about only great minds being able to. [Big Grin]

Mine isn't working the greatest today so drawing blanks when it comes to posting.
I pray your stopping treatment will be best. I stopped over two years ago and didn't change one way or the other.

We trust in Dr. Jesus. His guidance has helped to direct me to areas of my body that needed help. I am slowly improving. Praising God for any improvements to feeling better.

I'll try coming back later. Hopefully I'll bring some brain cells with me. [group hug]
