my dad is not well.. probably has tick disesae, but he is 82 and is an old dog who can't learn new tricks, so...

the immanent issue is that he keeps getting fluid in his chest cavity. heart failure they are saying. my mom says the last few days he is getting quieter and feeling more tired.

I am just heart sick.. when I was little I told my dad I wouldn't have to deal with him dying because I would die first. that was my way to cover up my feelings.

I am very close to my parents and they are old now and not as well as they always have been. I also have a big anxiety issue and sometimes get obssessed with death thoughts.

knowing that someone is praying for my dad will help me feel better too, as well as helping him. not sure what if drs will or could do more to help him or fix this but probably not. but I hope if there is some chance to make him a bit more well that prayer will definitely help.

My heart is breaking for you, because I lost my Dad three years ago (Mom over 20) and I was very close to both of them also. It's so hard to see one's parents ill and suffering.

I am praying the Great Physician heal your beloved Dad, and give you both peace and comfort in this very trying time. Wish I could take away all the hurt, but I hope you find comfort and strength in knowing that one day "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Rev 21:4

OH Lisa...I'm so so sorry about your dad. I just lost another brother and he and I used to joke about who wanted to go first. He was sure it was him, I was hoping it was me. Nothing prepares us for a debilitating illness or loss.

I wish your dad peace.....and that you have the same. Our parents really never leave us as you'll find out. I can still hear my mom's and dad's voice when I'm crying or sad, or when something good happens. All they can say is already stored long ago in your heart and memories, and you will be shocked to still feel them with you when you least suspect it. The loss is always there, but their memory lives on IN YOU literally.

The best thing you can do is hold him and tell him you love him....make him feel it and it will come back to you tenfold in the future. That I know from experience. No parent ever went wrong with having a child tell them they love them. It means they did everything right and they live in you.

Peace friend and here's a hug......{{{{ }}}}

When IV treating for Lymes met a man who was scheduled for heart surgery ... choose to treat for Lymes first ...don't recall if he was Lymes positive, but didn't need heart surgery after.
I will be praying for health and healing and the God will take the pain! I pray that for my self often!
With Nutramedix the tints work well and are just added to water. That might be easier for your Dad to deal with!
Banderol or Samento might be a good start i drop to see how it helps...if he has dieoff add the parsley ... it helps you handle Herxhimer dieoff.

Rigthfit, my dad wqould never take lyme "anything". he is very old school and trusts only his dr who is an idiot.

~~~
thanks everyone! I am so appreciative of this outpouring!!!!
not usre how my dad really is because when I call and ask him how he feels he says, "with my fingers". yeah, that is how he is . and never a complaint. he is a good sufferer. my mom doesn't say much either. I think it may bother her since it is hard to get/be old and have death knocking at your door... sort of like dying from disease but different
because when you are old it could be a different kind of head game you play with yourself. this is what I imagine anyway....
I am going to see them in just a couple of weeks. I can't ocupy my mind with thoughts of his condition too much or I can't function well in my own life. that is sad isn't it?
I mean, I have way too much empathy and then that leads to my overly anxious ways, so I need to stay at a distance. this is how I have learned to deal with all this realization of my self (genetic) feelings, or conditions or whatever you want to call them.
Thanks again.... please keep praying if you remember. thank you so much
