I loved my job. I went from working 5 nites to 4 to 3 and still ended up calling off at least 2 shifts a month. The final straw was when I called off 2 hours prior to my shift because I couldn't put my shoes on from overwhemling fatigue.
That was 6 months ago . . .
Everyday I wake up looking like and feeling like Dick Cheney.
I got bit over 3 years ago while sleeping in bed with my dog. My bulls eye rash was 1/2 inch in diameter(under cdc guidelines). My western blot was reactive for 30,39,41(under cdc guidelines).
PD,IF and Neuro docs all agreed I was indeed infected but refused to treat me because it wasnt in active stage. My reply was if I have been undiagnosised and untreated for 3 years, where exactly did those spiroketes go, Mr Einsteins ?
Belly bloated to 38 inches, gastro doc ordered sonograms and said tests are normal. 5 warts appeared on right hand over night so went to dermatologist, who biopsies it and said its normal. Vertigo, tinnitus, face and tongue numb, spinal cord vibrating 24-7,depersonalizations,shadows,brain fog, chronic fatigue and unrelenting widespread PAIN! Neuro doc doesn't know.
If it's not the economy then it's Lyme stupid. . . Posts: 3221 | From Florida | Registered: Nov 2016

I'm sorry. I sure hope you will work again. Do you have a LLMD? I have found that only LLMD's will take anything seriously.
Have you treated at all in the 3 years?
Hope you find help soon.

Did you receive the referral from here or a state Lyme group? There are good llmds and there are those who will take advantage of the situation and aren't doing it for the right reasons. Just want to make sure you got the referral from a respected source.
I'm sorry you are going through this

I think you could work again if you get your symptoms managed. The trick is to find what works for us. You will need to work with a good Lyme doctor.
