So sorry, Steve. It's over here in the Midwest, South, and Southwest.
I know my friends and family in Texas can hardly wait for summer because they never got winter.
I'm in Southern Missouri and we've had two dustings of snow. We usually get 10-40 inches. Ya never know over here.
Hope Spring arrives soon for you.

HEY!
GOOD thing I didn't have anything in my mouth when I clicked on LN and saw the title to your post! Made me laugh instantly- and I knew exactly who it was from without checking!
I wanted to share a link to a picture of a beach with some nice people on it to help you feel warmer, but when I ended up on the Playboy sites with the pretty girls I decided that wasn't the best idea I've ever had. But, the beach scenes were nice!
Can you get south? Costa Rica? Florida? Alabama?
I am afraid the daffy dill pics use to make me feel warm, but I still remember them being buried in snow, so not so much anymore.
Let me keep looking... and in the meantime- thick socks might help?

Hi <<<<< Steve'06 >>>>>,
It's trying to decide if it is going to "Spring" here in Vegas, between high winds, rain and cold front.
The power went off for a bit, yesterday, with gusts over 60 MPH. I don't know if the pretty tree up the road has any budding flowers left. They were a pretty pastel plum tone.
There was trouble on The Strip from the high winds. Trekc' just phoned to let me know he reached his Drs. appointment, traffic is really tied up right now.
There are five power lines down[Correction: five power poles had blown down], from the storm ,back behind The Venetian Palazzo Hotel and Casino. And who knows what else is snarled up down there.[The mess really snarled traffic w/o working signals].
Glad we don't live close to all that! But TrekC' has to go by some of the areas to get to his Cardio at VA.
Yesterday the high winds about took my fur off,and TrekC' about got transported where he didn't want to go,when he went to check on some neighbors when the power went off.
Had to watch Muadi' dog as he's only 14 lbs,and already half way hairless, he was not amused. Ahh spring in the Desert, high winds, sometimes flooding , and power outages.

My theory is the earths crust has also turned south 200 to 300 miles.
So 1600 minus 300 miles means the magnetic north pole has moved 1300 miles.
The crust moving has moved the north pole south and the south pole north towards the equator.
That is why the poles are melting and Siberia has north pole weather now.
No Gore global warming,doesen't exist.

They also have a Top 10 Weather Photos contest each week where anyone who would like can submit a weather related photo and the Top 10 are on display.
They come from all over and it gives you an idea what the places are like and the beauty of the area.
One this week is a double rainbow and another are some mammatus clouds.
Some are from KY, NH, CO, CA, OH, MS, MN and even LOO-ray Virginia. (That's how you pronounce Luray if you're from there.)
OOPS! That's right, we are suppose to be talking about Lyme disease here. Sorry about that. I just get excited these days when the conversation is ABL (Anything But Lyme).

Blizzard of 2017 unloads up to 2 feet of snow as nor'easter rages on
AccuWeather senior meteorologist March 14, 2017, 11:29:02 AM EDT
For thousands of miles of roads in the region, this will be an unusually cold storm for the middle of March. Much of the snow that falls will rapidly accumulate on the roads across the interior of the mid-Atlantic and New England. Some people could become stranded on area highways.
The storm has already forced airlines to cancel thousands of flights. Be sure to call ahead before leaving for the airport.
Blowing and drifting snow will also occur as far west as western Maryland and eastern West Virginia.
Snowfall could rival that of March 1993 blizzard
"In some locations in Pennsylvania, New York state and New England, snowfall from this storm could be the biggest March snowstorm since that of the 1993 March blizzard," according to AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Elliot Abrams.
For parts of northeastern Pennsylvania, and other areas nearby, 24-hour snowfall from this storm could range among the biggest on record. As of the late morning hours, snowfall in parts of northeastern Pennsylvania were passing 24 inches.
The heaviest snow is likely to fall near the I-81 corridor of Pennsylvania and the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike to part of the New York Thruway in the Hudson Valley of New York, I-91 in northern Connecticut and Massachusetts and I-93 in New Hampshire.
In this zone, snowfall rates of 2 to 4 inches per hour are in store and from 1 to 2 feet of snow will pile up with local amounts to 3 feet. Drifts up to several feet are likely.
Gusts as high as 60 mph have been occurring in the rain over Delaware and eastern New Jersey and in the snow in northwestern New Jersey and southeastern New York state. Thunder and lightning can accompany the snow in some locations.
RELATED: What is the difference between winter storm watches and warnings?
Storm to unload disruptive snow in midwestern US Northeastern US interactive radar A combination of rain, ice and snow will straddle the metro areas from Washington, D.C., to Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York City,
Boston and Providence, Rhode, Island. Rain will fall on the southeastern flank of these cities, while wintry precipitation holds on over the northern and western suburbs for the storm's duration.
The mixing will cap the snowfall, ending the threat of blowing and drifting snow, and will cut down total snowfall accumulation. Regardless, travel will still be treacherous in and around the metro areas.
SEE ALSO: Latest winter-related watches, warnings Shoveling snow increases risk for winter heart attacks, experts say 3 of the toughest winter jobs While the storm has or will continue to transition to rain along a large part of coastal Northeast,
coastal flooding and increasing winds will cause more trouble. Increasing wind to cause coastal flooding, power outages and intensify the cold As the storm intensifies, winds will ramp up along the coast and expand inland. Wind gusts will frequent
40 to 60 mph at the height of the storm, which cannot only create blizzard conditions but may also break tree limbs and threaten sporadic power outages. Gusts can be higher right on the coast and over coastal waters.
During much of the storm, northeasterly winds will pull ocean water toward the coast and create rough surf from Virginia to Maine. This effect will cause tides to run 1-2 feet above normal and can result in coastal flooding at times of high tide. Beach erosion will occur as well.
Since the storm is likely to maintain its forward speed, the period of coastal flooding and beach erosion will be relatively brief. Strong onshore winds, coastal flooding and beach erosion will diminish from south to north as the storm moves along and winds blow offshore Tuesday night and Wednesday.
For those that lose power, cold air with wind more typical of the middle of January will settle in behind the storm.
Keep safe, Steve

I can't afford this- not even close, but maybe looking through some homes for sale in Key West will help encourage you to get a southern move on!
And here is what I get exciting news about almost every day...
"A Jimmy Buffett-inspired retirement community is set to open in Daytona Beach, Florida, and more locations plan to be announced soon.
"It’s called “Latitude Margaritaville” and will include 7,000 homes, pools, a “Cheeseburger In Paradise” restaurant and, of course, a “Five O’Clock Somewhere” bar.
It’s been reported that more than 10,000 people have already signed up to live in Margaritaville. The community is set to open in 2018."
Here is more about it. One coming soon near Daytona Beach, FL.

IDEA! Something I did years ago that finally got and kept me warm.
I cranked up the wood stove in the old farm house and got it as hot as I could (it was in the kitchen at the time). Had to be 90 plus in there.
The kitchen was a dingy, depressing color, as were the cabinets, and the old plaster walls were almost beyond repair. Very sad looking.
It badly NEEDED a make-over and I had little funds to really fix it up in the traditional (and boring) style.
Also made up some virgin tropical drinks and steamed shrimp and fruits to eat while working on it. Had some ice cream on hand too.
I'd already done the planning and had gone to the paint store with a really bright colored plastic tablecloth with a mosaic pattern.
Had the paints made to match the colors in the table cloth. (Yes, the paint guy thought I was nuts, but what the hay?)
I then picked the day and proceeded to re-do the kitchen, painting the ceiling and cabinets a deep, knock your socks off turquoise color.
I painted the walls bright sunshine yellow with fire-engine red trim paint.
It WAS colorful! It was happy and fun too. None like it anywhere, that's for sure.
When I set the table later the silverware shone turquoise light that came from the ceiling on it. Pretty cool! HA!
Anyhow, it was during a super cold, miserable, snow-filled winter and all the guys were all out hunting all day with their hunting parties that would come in from out-of-state (pre-dusk to after dark), so I was alone and needed a little self-entertainment, and a pick me up.
Did I mention I got some sand and threw it on the floor the day I was paining to resemble a beach? And was wearing shorts and a tank top and was barefoot?
Of course, don't you know who decided to arrive in the middle of all this? The hunters- about 8 of them. I had the music up so loud, mind-blowing loud, so I didn't hear them come in.
I was up on a step ladder singing with the music and painting trim when they got there.
They had decided they were going to eat lunch there instead of the local restaurant that day. At least that's what they thought! They left after seeing the situation and left me to my "hot summer beach day".
That was the first and only winter I didn't freeze the rest of the time by being up north and I was not so miserable.
Every morning I'd go to the kitchen and laugh. Then I'd remember the special beach day and things looked brighter all around.

1-2 FEET? Oh my!!! How do you do it? Good grief!
I like that little one too- she is cute, but thought maybe you were making fun of me.
I tell the clerks in the check out line at the grocery store that there is a chance of snow or a bad storm so that is why I am stocking up on things.
Then they typically say, but isn't that storm coming next week? I tell them it is, but I want to be the first one prepared cause NOW when it snows, I don't goes!
Actually, it is because I have to be out and about before something hits (or use to have to be when I could do my job) so I can prepare to help others once it is over.
Once I go "on duty" I wouldn't typically see my own place till a week or even longer after the storms hits and goes away.
Now, when stocking up ahead of time I just appear to be a scaredy-cat freak.
