Welcome to the exercise thread!
Whether it is walking, riding a bike, cleaning, shopping, going to the gym etc., let’s encourage each other to get up and move.
So, tell us about your daily exercise or just tell us about your day.
Have a great week!

Watched my church’s service on YouTube. Very good sermon today.
Did a load of laundry.
Did my knee and feet exercises.
Rode the exercise bike for 25 minutes—5 minute warm up before knee exercises and 20 minutes later.
Bonnie—I know you like the Buffalo Bills. I watched some of the game and see they pulled out a close game with a win!
Called mom. Then yakked a long time with my BFF.
Leftovers for dinner and then a quiet evening of reading.
Expecting rainstorms and high winds tonight and tomorrow. We need the precipitation but I don’t want to get totally soaked walking into the ENT tomorrow. The parking lot isn’t very close to the door. Odd setup for a clinic.

Thanks for getting us started this week hiker.
Went and gassed up the car and picked up coffee this morning, Then went grocery shopping.
Watched my football team play, very stressful, but they managed to win, yish. So I picked up my resistance bands and stretched every muscle in my body, I swear, lol. It was quite relaxing in fact.
Walked the dog and took recyclables to bin.
Washed a few coats and hung to dry.
Neighbor brought over ham and bean soup, hit the spot.
Changed kitty litter boxes. Cleaned out the refrigerator and took out garbage,
Vacuumed laundry room and dinning room. I got a lot of chores out of the way and I feel good about that.
Time for tea and 3 berry muffin, yummy 🍮 🥧

Everyone slept in this morning.
Put lunch in the oven - ham, baked potatoes and green beans.
Did church online this morning.
Had Lemon Meringue pie for dessert.
Sunshine today after seberal cloudy, snow flurry days. But really didn't warm up much above freezing.
Untangled the dog from the pear tree twice today.
Hubby and Sonny went out riding the 4wheeler & dirt bike this afternoon. Came back chilled!
Eight eggs today, one was a smaller egg, which usually means a new chicken started laying eggs.
Need to mix up my sourdough bread tonight yet.
Invited friends of ours to come for the weekend on a nice weekend, so we can go out exploring.

Thanks Hiker for keeping us going!
Brunch was a banana, yogurt, almond milk and chocolate vegan protein powder smoothie with a side of biscuit, sausage gravy topped with a fried egg.
We watched our Chinese historical drama today but Mom dozed off so I was able to run to get water and browse Goodwill and TJ Maxx. Snagged a Chico's red knit hoodie at GW for $5 and part of the price went to their GED program.
Also worked on my moon puzzle but tweaked my SI joint from standing and leaning over the table too long. Forgot to step up on a box with my bad side. Sure makes a difference.
Thank God PT unstuck the joint so the pain is better but I'm medicated, creamed and laying on the heating pad again.
2 rounds of SI PT for me and Mom and one round of shoulder PT for me.
Fried the ham slice for dinner to go with the potato salad I made the other day. Also made a batch of brown rice and put 1 cup in storage bags (4 all together) and then into a freezer bag for later meals. I prefer brown to white rice but my Mom won't eat it.
Anyways time to read a bit then hit the hay.
Night friends!

Rode the exercise bike for 10 minutes this morning.
Then went to ENT expecting he would put in a new ear tube. He confirmed that I needed one but didn't have enough time today to put it in. And of course, I waited in the waiting room for 40 minutes past my appointment time to see him for two minutes. Grr.
So, I have to wait another week and the whole point of making this appointment was to put the ear tube in since the nurse confirmed it was out when I saw her in early December. Can you tell I am mad?
After lunch I rode the exercise bike for another 15 minutes while watching a video on my iPad.
Called mom.
Then read a bit.
Cleaned the bathtub/shower.
Took the garbage bin to the curb.
Will watch Illini basketball again tonight.

Sorry you didn't get the ear tube back in, hiker. That's a bummer!
Manna .. so how many chickens do you have?
AK.. that scarf sounds nice!
Hubby and I have been so tired since coming home. Today was lazy day even though it was my birthday!
I got up early (my back said so) .. then crashed again at noon. Got up and went to run a few errands. I also went to Kohl's because I had a $10 coupon.
I didn't find anything I wanted so I bought hubby a flannel shirt. He is cold all the time. His birthday is Friday so I'm all set. LOL.
He's enjoying his 4 days of being younger than me.
We are going to the nearby city tomorrow and will probably have a good lunch in celebration. We stopped at this place when we came home on Friday and it was SO GOOD.
I had a chopped steak and it was the best I'd ever had.
I was lazy in bed all evening playing Words with Friends. I did manage to get up to wash dishes. Yay me!
Since this is an exercise post, I'll tell you that I did walk about 1/2 mile or more in Houston, and walked on the treadmill 1/2 mile. Then at a hotel in South Texas, I walked 1/2 mile 3 times!
Tomorrow I go back to my usual exercise.

You guys are getting alot of exercise in!
Happy birthday TuTu!
Can't believe they didn't put the ear tube in Hiker.
2 rounds of SI PT for me and Mom and 1 for my shoulder.
2 loads of laundry done today and I hauled trash to the curb too.
Me and Mom spent most of the day and evening watching our latest Chinese historical drama.
I also worked on my puzzle a bit. It's a toughy being the first round puzzle I've ever done and the pieces are odd shaped.
Time to read a bit and see you all tomorrow!

Tutu—hope you got your birthday meal today!
I spent most of the morning exercising. First I did my balance exercises, then the knee exercises, then the exercises for my plantar fasciitis and finally my shoulder exercises.
After lunch I rode the exercise bike for 15 minutes.
Did odds and ends around the house and then grabbed a book to read.
I baked some chicken yesterday and have enough left for dinner with broccoli and a salad.
Probably watch some tv tonight. I like the genealogy show on PBS called Finding Your Roots. Henry Louis Gates interviews celebrities and traces their ancestry. I think Carol Burnett is on his show tonight.
I have watched the show New Amsterdam since it came on a few years ago. I am taping its final episodes tonight.
I need to go make my grocery list for tomorrow.

Exercise was going up and down the stairs 5 times in a row. I did go up n down more often then that today.
Put a comfort in the quilt frame and started knotting it.
Lymetoo, I tried counting the chickens this evening. Counted around 55, but they were moving around, so probably missed a few. There are around 10 roosters in with them. And they are bossy! Got 9 eggs today!
The guys from the electric company hooked up the new meter and electrical panel this morning. So from 9:15 till almost 11 we were without electricity.

Did go out this morning for an oil change and went to the cancer support meeting this afternoon.
Also had to stop at the bank for my Mom.
Bought nachos for dinner and had mine mixed with spinach and arugula.
Manna that's a lot of chickens!
Hiker you're really keeping at it with the new bike!
Time to read!

Why didn’t you guys remind me that it was garbage day? Forgot about it again but garbage men thankfully came to my house and grabbed my cans..
Past few days challenging with sinus and wide-spread inflammation.
Made it to dentist appointment. 3 shots, 3 fillings. Another crown for cracked tooth. Wore mask over nose. Gagging with sinuses running but very comfortable relaxing chair helped greatly.
Made baked chicken quarter, broccoli and baked potato. The chicken was white colored, not dark. It had no flavor. Chopped it up and gave it to the dog and cats. Has anyone noticed food doesn’t taste the same?
I did neck and back stretches VERY slowly, as I now wear my neck brace in the mornings. I have wretched it a few times due to jerking sudden movements.
I had to research new symptom, optical migraine electrical flashing colored imagines in peripheral vision. Say that fast, lol.
Got a letter saying all my medical info was hacked at my local hospital. They offered free credit monitoring for 1 year. Tried to fill it out on-line but I must have answered a question wrong because they said I need to call them to complete form.
Hope your football team advanced in the playoffs. The Bills won but it was ugly. And stressful!

Bartenderbonnie--That optical migraine stuff sounds horrible. Is this a new symptom?
And Bonnie--I root for the Chicago Bears who were absolutely horrid this year. So, I will transfer my energy to root for the Bills.
I went to the grocery store before it rained.
Then rode the exercise bike 12 minutes and did my feet exercises.
Called mom.
Went to my functional chiropractor who does his weird energy testing. All of my supplements and detox items decreased in amount except one. So, making some progress.
Got soaked getting to the car. Got halfway home and realized I forgot one supplement so went back for another soaking.
Then got all the way home and looked in the bag and one supplement I paid for was missing. Called and they said they had to order it. Kind of miffed that I paid for it. But this wellness center is very good and I know they will call me next week and know that I owe nothing for it.
Getting colder here in the low thirties and the rain is really chilling. Still chilled from getting wet from walking to the mailbox a few minutes ago.
Did odds and ends around the house and am ready to be a couch potato after dinner.
Pork loin chop for dinner with broccoli and spinach salad with strawberries.

Finished knotting the comfort and took it out of the frame. Trimmed the edges and now its ready for the binding.
Gave the chickens food and water, gathered the eggs - 7 today. Two more of the chickens were out of the pen again. This time I caught them and clipped a wing on each before popping them back in the pen.
One of the boys brought hay up to the barn with the 4wheeler, so I threw some in the hay rack for the goats. Then all was quiet with the goats busy eating hay.
Hubby was figuring out what it would cost to build a shop.
Dentist called saying they had a cancellation tomorrow so both boys can come now instead of in Feb & March.
Forgot to call to order Hubby's supplements, again!
Need to do some desk work yet.
Tonight I mix up the sourdough bread and let it rise overnight.

Love reading everyone's posts!
Manna I bought some 5 HTP today and hoping it'll help me sleep.
Hiker that energy testing freaked me out the first time I had it done.
BB I'm going next week for my permanent crown. They're so expensive!
Today made brunch of scrambled eggs with a wee bit of chopped ham and cheese and pre-packaged frozen French toast.
Ran to my fav health food store for a couple bottles of supplements, fragrance-free baby shampoo and organic sunflower seeds.
Then Mom and I headed to Ft Benning to gas up the car, make a payment and shop at the commissary.
Tonight I made marinated sliced skirt steak and mushrooms with rice. Mom had a plain shredded lettuce salad and I had the rest of the spinach and arugula.
Scrubbed the tub, sink and toilet about an hour ago and now ready to rest.
Hey guys need prayers and positive thoughts for me and my Mom because we're heading to Atlanta tomorrow for the second immunotherapy infusion on Friday. We'll spend the night tomorrow and her labs are at 8:00, the Dr at 9:00 followed by her infusion at 10:00.
Thank you all and see you tomorrow!

AK—prayers for safe travel and a healing infusion for your mom.
I got up early for my women’s share and prayer time but our leader was ill so we just emailed prayer requests. I spent that slotted time listening to the National Cathedral Morning prayer etc.
Did my balance, shoulder and feet exercises.
After lunch I rode the exercise bike for 15 minutes.
Rainy cold windy gloomy day. And a very sad one. My next door neighbor, who has lived there 20 years passed, away this morning. Only 68. I will really miss him.
I plan on watching Illini basketball tonight.

Ak, I hope the 5HTP helps you sleep. I just got a bottle of it again, but haven't needed any. Praying all goes well with your mom's appointments.
Hiker, sorry to hear your neighbor passed away.
Today was baking day - 2 loaves for the neighbor and 30 for the store.
Washed a couple loads of laundry. Sonny needed a clean shirt for work tomorrow.
Hubby and one of the boys cleaned out the shed that we call the garage. They now have a space to work on vehicles out of the rain/snow. They said the hay / straw storage barn is packed with the things they cleared out.
Sonny's parts came so he worked on the dirt bike.
Rainy this morning, sun came out this afternoon! So nice to see the sun again! Its getting windy this evening and cooler.
Want to sew the binding on the comfort this evening.
Daughter gave the dog a bath after she came home from work. He was out with Hubby & the boys and got very muddy. It is very, very muddy around here!

Hiker I'm sorry that you've lost a friend and neighbor.
Manna I can't remember the milligrams of the 5 HTP that I bought but it knocked me out and I felt the effects most of the day. I'll have to take less for sure.
Guys, it was 74° when we left today to drive to Atlanta. I can't believe it's this warm in January! Has me worried about the summer.
Me and Mom are snug in our beds with our tablets at the hotel. My little momma is addicted to YouTube! She watches all kinds of things on there and sure enjoys herself.
Tomorrow she has labs at 8:00, sees the Onco at 9:15 and an immunotherapy infusion at 10:30. It's going to be a long day and thank you guys for the prayers and well wishes because we need them.
Ill check in tomorrow and let you all know how things went.
Night friends!

Warmed up on the exercise bike and then did my knee and feet exercises.
My neighbor’s son came over to talk about his dad’s death. He also said that Don told him he loved me (agape friendship love) and that Dustin was to watch over me and take care of me. Dustin told me he would do that. So touching.
Went back to functional chiropractor to get supplement that they didn’t have Wednesday but came in already.
Rode the exercise bike 15 more minutes after lunch. Went over my 100 minute weekly goal.
Called mom. Then crashed and took a nap for over an hour.
Chatted with a former colleague.
Gluten free pizza topped with green olives and spinach salad topped with zucchini and strawberries tonight.
AK—Hope you are home by now and all went well.

Today Hubby put new lights up in my sewing room. Its so nice and bright now, I love it!
Then he cleaned and oiled both my sewing machines. They sound so nice and quiet again.
Finished cutting and sewing the comfort top for my daughter.
Finished washing and drying the laundry. Didn't get any of it folded. Will do that tomorrow.
5 eggs today. Trying to decide if I should offer a few roosters for sale.... there is so much bickering in the hen house.
Supper was tomato soup and sandwiches, with monster cookie bars for dessert. Daughter's turn to cook.

I love stretching. I do it prior to chiropractic adjustments as my joints can move out of place easily.
My favorite type is going to the park where I lie down on a ridge and let a leg dangle down and stretch every part of it and my torso. I always feel so much energy afterwards!

As to what did I do on the 19th .. basically very little!! Stayed in pajamas all day.
Friday was my hubby's birthday so we went to eat at the college. Fancy schmancy place.
We had the cutest little server from Ukraine. She had dimples and was just had a cute personality.
She asked if we were celebrating anything special. Hubby did not want people gathered around singing to him. So we kinda evaded the question.
Finally, she asked again and we said something about his birthday but wouldn't say when it was.
So she brought out their special birthday dessert complete with a candle. So then we said yes, it was today. He started singing happy birthday and she and I joined in.
She said, "See, he DID want us to sing. I said yeah, but not 8 people standing around the table."
With her little accent, it was just too cute. He left her a very nice tip.
Hi Robin!! Welcome!
Manna .. yes, good lighting is essential!! I bought one of those lights that goes around the neck for when I'm doing needle work.
AK .. I pray that your trip went well.
Hiker .. It's so sweet about Don. I hope his son does a good job. Will they sell the house?

Hiker- very sorry about your the passing of your neighbor. Lovely man and lovely family, very sad.
Akin- I’ve been saying prayers for your Mom and you while you’ve been traveling and receiving treatments. 💕
Been sick all week, sore throat, wide spread inflammation, uncontrollable pain and fatigue. Took a covid test but noticed the test had expired. So I had to take another test. Both negative.
Yesterday had a morning appointment for dog groomer. Couldn’t cancel as they charge 20.00 cancellation fee. Was so dizzy but dropped her off.
Drove myself straight to Urgent Care. They diagnosed me with Pharyngitis, gave me Amox. I can’t help to think that all my dentist appointments might have something to do with it. The dentist works on multiple patients at the same time. Did he wash his hands each time? Change his gloves every time?
Made vegetable beef barley soup in crockpot 2 days ago and it’s saving my life right now. It’s so good and soothing on my throat.
Forced myself into an epsom salt bath and it relieved all my pain for 3 hours. I’ve been sleeping on and off.
Watching the Kansas City Chiefs play the Jacksonville Jaguars. This game is crazy good. Don’t want to miss a minute. The winner plays the Buffalo Bills.
Stay warm.

Bonnie--I didn't watch football today, but the Bills have to beat the Bengals tomorrow first to move on. You are definitely an optimist!
Called in my mom's prescriptions and just got off the phone when my brother called to tell me mom's credit card was compromised. So, had to call the pharmacy back and use my credit card.
I will have to drive over to mom's when she gets the new card, activate it and get it into her other accounts that use it.
I did a load of laundry.
Did my balance exercises and feet exercises.
Went to the post office, then to recycling, gassed up the car and stopped at the library.
Filled the bird feeders.
Started on my income tax but won't finish it for another month. Just wanted to put in my medical expenses and charity donations.
Meatloaf for dinner and then finally sitting down to relax.

Actually got some exercise in today. Trecked down to the barn 4 times carrying cardboard. Have 2 sets of steps and down the hill to the barn. So uphill all the way back!
Did some laundry and cleaning today.
Son made hot dogs for supper and brought fry pies along home from work for dessert. We cut them in half so we could taste two kinds. I had cherry and black raspberry.
Want to weight out the flour for baking next week.
Bonnie, I was thinking about making beef barley soup. Now I'll have too!
