This is so sad ♥️💚
From Jemsek Speciality Clinic
“ We (the Jemsek family) have decided it is necessary to close our father’s practice, the Jemsek Specialty Clinic.
Please rest assured however, that we are working behind the scenes with the providers to come up with a plan to potentially reopen the clinic under their ownership.
The providers are dedicated to their patients and we feel confident they will be able to carry on Dr. Jemsek’s legacy.
The providers are continuing to offer health maintenance to help with this transition. This will include refilling prescriptions, monitoring labs, answering clinical concerns via triage, and supplying patients with their medical records.
The clinic will continue to provide these services until 3/19/2024.
Please be advised, it is very likely there will be a time where the clinic is closed while undergoing this transition. We advise that you seek care in the interim with your primary care provider as needed.
Please stay tuned for directions on how you may begin to establish care with the new clinic.“
Praying for Dr Jemsek ♥️

Sad loss for the Lyme community. He saved my life at a time I had completely lost hope.

What happened? Did he pass away or become ill? I saw many of his NP's in NC. They saved me too.

This update is from a FB group. I think it is accurate.
There were 2 NP and 2 PAs in Dr. J's practice. Not knowing whether I could put names in, I used initials.
1 NP went back to NC and people don't seem to know what she is doing.
1 NP, CH, went back to AL "CH has her license to practice and is joining a clinic in Birmingham, Alabama and will continue to treat TBD patients. She hopes to start seeing patients by June 1st. The practice has complimentary specialists, but CH will continue to concentrate on her passion of treating Chronic Lyme patients."
2PAs : "RM and D from JSC found an MD to set up a practice with and are just waiting for office space in the same DC building. There will be an official announcement in the next couple weeks. RM hopes to start seeing patients end of June or in July. I got this from RM. Not a rumor, will happen, but timing is not solid."

Wow!!! Thank you for posting that; that's so encouraging! But it's too bad that his NPs and PAs resigned. That will be a process to rebuild.
I can understand that they probably thought that he couldn't work again, and they needed to find alternate work. But why would they resign, rather than leave to find work??
Whatever he had, life has a way of hitting us over the head if we don't listen to the quieter voice about taking care of oneself, which isn't always easy.
