Posting at the request of one of our Lyme community leaders who is in transit--
Michael Moore (director of the film SICKO) is scheduled to be on Larry King Live (CNN) tonight April 30. 9pm Eastern time.
PLEASE CALL IN TO TALK TO MICHAEL ABOUT LYME DISEASE!
The goal is to talk about the Lyme Bill being stuck in Congress with no hearing, AND/OR to ask Michael to see UNDER OUR SKIN!
Here's a rough idea of what to say -
REGARDING THE LYME BILL We know there's a problem with healthcare in general, but is Michael aware of the specific problem of Lyme disease, that its at epidemic proportions now and that we have a bill currently before Congress but we can't get a hearing for the bill. Congressman Pallone has not scheduled it for a hearing yet - yet again he's letting down people who are so sick. What does Michael think about this...
REGARDING UNDER OUR SKIN Has Michael heard of or seen the new documentary about Lyme disease -- UNDER OUR SKIN -- now premiering at Tribeca Film Festival? Please see it!

The bill is stuck in the House Health subcommittee without a hearing. We've had Lyme bills die unacted on 9 times and we have an epidemic going on. Rep. Pallone is Chair of the House Health subcommittee.
