Look, I now have alot of time on my hands, and I know I need to do SOMETHING to get active.

My (again, not simple) question is --- what?

I can only tell you that I have some medical laboratory background (microbiology! yes, I know all about these microorganisms!), I am good at writing copy, not good at all with phones but an ace in front of a crowd,

and I've had Lyme for over 14 years (am now under care of a fantastic LLMD).

I am not working. Thanks to my LLMD I actually am improving.

I have personally experienced so much of the deceit, ignorance, misinformation, politics, etc common in the Lyme community that I feel I have to do SOMETHING.

I know there are probably a zillion answers, but if anyone would like to give me some ideas of where to start? PM me if you want.

Start by taking the CALDA Lyme survey at:

http://www.lymedisease.org/news/lymepolicywonk/134.html

Then, go to www.cwork.com, the LDA legilative website, and start contacting NJ congresspeople to be co-sponsors of HR--1179.

The Drs TV show has covered lyme twice once with the CDC for 30 seconds and once with Perry Fields www.beatlymedisease.com but never asked her about Lyme.

Their coverage is incomplete and one sided, to say the least. So what you can do is - add a supporting post to the "We need a debate on LYME!"

Say anything, agree, disagree, tell your story, make demands..... it doesn't matter, each new voice makes an impact. And feel free to spread the word!
