Boston Children's Hospital has taken custody of a girl with PANDAS and Lyme away from her parents . The hospital denies her diagnosis and wants to put her in a locked psych ward.
A protest is planned at BCH Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

- I am not on Facebook so can't connect with those links. However, the wordpress blog was very informativ - and links there, too.
How very sad - yet I hope truth and wisdom will win very soon.
Thanks for posting this
1. in case there is anything we can do to help, even signing a petition or passing this along to others . . .
2. become aware that this happens more often than we know and that elderly or anyone with no family also face similar treatments.
3. Even just the FOOD served in hospital can torpedo the patient (as it has with this child) and the hospital's insistence of feeding this child dairy and gluten-containing foods (against the girl's diet and against her parents' instructions) is just unforgivable.
The food additives are also likely fueling the suffering for someone who had been on a clean diet.
The hospital is failing at even the basics of providing good nutrients, the kind of diet that SHE needs and had been helping. -

Frankly, I have been disappointed with my local Massachusetts lyme community. I have not gotten much of a response when I asked for help since I am fairly close to the situation. this child has lyme, PANS etc.

Here is the Boston Globe article we have been expecting. It does not say what the current situation is with Elizabeth, though.
