I have been sick for years (supposedly CFS) and was feeling hopeful last year when I had a Western Blot come back positive. However I had another 3 months later and the anti-body profile was the same. Despite my symptoms the Dr didn
t treat me as he says it's now inactive.
I have been to 5 Drs including a supposed world expert in Lyme!!!!!! I live in Switzerland by the way. They all say the same.
What the ****** can I say to get someone to at least try ABX to see if I get a reaction or improve????????? If I see anymore Drs my insurance is going to start complaining - you know how they hate chronic diseaes anyway.
The last Dr I saw said he would only treat me if he could get the bacteria with a needle out of a swollen joint!!!!!!!!!!! Talk about ignorant and insensitive.
What can i say?????

the only way I was able to get tx was by self medicating with 400mg animal doxycycline a day and then telling the doctors the results.

I don't know if this helps or not... I had menengitis and ataxia and releif of some of the nuero symtoms was almost immediate. It usually doesn't releive other symptoms as soon though I think... Plus you generally herx first.

Have you tryed the "Eurolyme" yahoo board for advice on doctors in your area? They may be of some help.

There is apparently a very good LLMD in Switzerland - details can be had from Eurolyme.
