Hello Lymies,

I rode a lot about this cat's claw and I want to place an order for this (TOA-free) so Nic can start to give it a try. I think I will order the tea- and the tablets.

But on the moment Nic is on abx aswell. He takes 250mg Zithro in the morning and 250mg Flagyl late night (he wants to build the Flagyl up to 3x 250mg). So now is my question, can this two things work together?

Thanks and greetings from Holland,

Nic and Ingeborg

Hi,

I am doing Cats Claw tea three times daily (together with Pau D'Arco for yeast problems) and also Doxycycline 100mg x 2 every other day.

There are definite improvements and I also have a lot of herxes which are very bearable provided I take it easy and don't push myself.

In time I am sure the combination will help the body to heal. BTW I am also doing the oral protocol of the Kane Detoxx program.

Lil,

Can you tell me where you found the Kane Detoxx program. I would like to check it out.

Is that the protocol in "The Detoxx Book". If so, did you get this book or did you find the protocol some other way?

You can email me privately if you wish.

Thanks,

CAT

The Detoxx Box is a good protocol....I suggest it always.

Cat's Claw can be taken with those....as far as I know it doesn't react with ahything.

I've been taking saventaro TOA-free cat's claw along with four abx since Dec. Even though I recently learned that heavy metal issues were a bigger factor in this Lyme diagnosis than I thought, the saventaro did create an obvious, and very helpful, improvement in neuro symptoms. It's never been a cure, but it does shorten relapses and make them milder, and it clearly made the abx more effective. In other words, it's not a wash by any means.

Hello Lymies,

Thanks for your replies.

Nic started on normal Cat's Claw last Sunday and I ordered the TOA-free for him. At the moment he doesn't feel better, but he has a lot of stress and he doesn't take time for it.

Here in Holland somebody send me research (Leslie Taylor, ND, 11-15-'02) that it doesn't matter if you take the normal or the TOA-free kind as long as it is from the Tomentosa and not the Guianensis.

Greatings from Holland,

Nic and Ingeborg

Hi Cat and all

Yes it was in the Detoxx book, I had the physicians' book which was very hard to follow and still don't understand everything but got a good general understanding of it.

I have been taking 2 Phosphotidyl choline am and 2 with my evening meal, together with 2 Butyren at the same time plus I take sunflower oil 3 times daily and Evening Primrose Oil capsules 3 daily. At the moment I am not taking any fish oil but do eat oily fish once or twice a week. I also take a milk thistle capsule which each meal to help the liver detoxify but I don't seem to have any problems with this.

From my experience it sort of opens up the cells so that if you also take something like Cats claw tea (make sure it is from a reputable source) and abx I am sure it makes them more effective. You probably won't need to take such a high dose of the abx because what you are taking really gets into the cells.

I have been doing 100 mg x 2 Doxycycline every other day and have been aching like mad sometimes but my doctor wants me to go up to 3 times every other day with the Doxy so I have started that today and will see how it goes. If I start getting too many aches then I will cut back.

I really would recommend the Detoxx protocol but wish I had bought the patient's book because it must be so much easier to understand.

Good Luck

I should have added that it is Patricia and Ed Kane's protocol and there is a section written by Dr Shoemaker too so they closely go along with his work except they don't believe its necessary to take cholesteramine and Acbos (spelling!) that you can accomplish the improvement by following their regime.

I will get to know on the 18 August how my blood/immune system is looking because I am seeing a doctor who does live blood anaylsis and this should tell me how "sticky" my blood is and give me an idea how the immune system looks.
