anyone else have rash's that itch? I mean badly, like it is under the skin and I cannot reach the itch until I break skin. Then it is instantly relieved.

Yes, about 10 days into treatment with Rifampin. After a day of itching, it then felt like it was on FIRE!!! Please call your LLMD - could be a herx, but also could be an allergic reaction, which is something you don't want to be fooling around with, and you need to get this checked out pronto!! Until you get an answer from LLMD, some Benadryl may provide some relief.

Also, how's your diet? Sticking to an anti-candida diet (low carb, no sugar)? Yeast can also cause this situation.

I experienced an itchy rash that turned out to be an allergic reaction. Definitely call your doctor ASAP because you will need to stop the meds immediately if that is the case. I took Benadryl to help get rid of the itchiness. My rash cleared up in a few days after stopping the meds.

Benadryl, for the itching, and make a call to you LLMD...this is something for your doctor will need to sort out.

Im not on ABX yet. Still trying to find a LLMD. I was wondering if anyone had this before ABX as a lyme symptom. The rash when itched weeps clear fluid. It remids me of poison ivy.
