I did and my 1,25 D level was 87! That's more than 99.9% of the country. My D was 34. This means I have hypervitaminosis D and is why I have problems in hot weather and sun. It makes me weak and causes heart symptoms, anxiety and insomnia, all hypervitaminosis symptoms!

It looks like I may have no choice but to go on The Marshall Protocol, which honestly depresses the hell out of me. I don't know if I can handle living in a cave.

How many of you have high 1,25 D levels and what are your numbers?

I'm curious if all Lymies have this, or just the one's with TH1 related illness.

Thanks!

Chris

There seems to be a big fluctuation seen in (fertile) women. (see day 15 compared to dat 1 of the ovulation cycle)
There are lesser fluctuations found in the literature that 1,25D varies over a 24 hr period (diurnal)and with hormone replacement therapy, progesterone, testosterone etc.

So, in my opinion, untill the labs are standardizing for these variables, it would be hard to use these numbers as an independant marker of disease.

Reference abstract:
Am J Obstet Gynecol. 1982 Dec 15;144(8):880-4.
Fluctuation of serum concentration of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 during
the menstrual cycle.

Gray TK, McAdoo T, Hatley L, Lester GE, Thierry M.

The serum concentrations of total calcium and 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin
D3 were measured in seven women during a menstrual cycle. A rise in
the serum level of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 was observed on day 15 of
the cycle without a detectable change in the serum calcium level.

The level of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 on day 15 was double the value
at days 1 and 8 of the cycle.

The peak of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 on day 15 was not observed in
five women ingesting oral contraceptives, suggesting that ovulation
or its hormonal control was involved in the peak on day 15. A small
but significant fall in the serum calcium concentration occurred in
the women ingesting oral contraceptives. In view of these findings
the serum concentrations of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D in women with
functioning ovaries must be interpreted in the context of the stage
of the menstrual cycle when the blood sample was obtained.

My D 1,25 was 52 pg/ml and I am on MP. Let me tell you, I am now herxing more on 50mg mino under MP (and did on 25mg mino, too) than I ever did on 300mg of mino + 1200mg Omnicef alone.

If you've been sick as long as I have, the excitement of this kind of herx far outweighs the depression of living in a cave. I've been out of the sun for 2 months now, and it's not that big a deal once you commit yourself to it.

Focus on how excited you'd be to be cured, instead.

in june when i started the mp my d's were 36 & 37, in sept they were down to 23 and 30 (1,23d) -since i'm a bit post menopausal at 62 these numbers are probably pretty accurate - in nov went off the mp and started benicar and mepron - it wasn't until i started the mepron that my eyes became super sensitive to light. at this point i'm much more comfortable without bright lights - if i go to a movie i wear the 10% noirs, otherwise my eyes hurt - so for me being in a cave is just much more comfortable; i don't feel deprived!
good luck,
deb

My levels were 25-d at 29, 125-d at 42. Not the ratio that is expected. Trevor Marshall told me my levels might be lower than he expected because of the antibiotics I had already taken. This was early in his looking at Lymies, before he saw that many did not have particularly elevated D ratios.

I am not on the MP.

big great information. I still dont understand mechanism of bacteria causing
that there is too much vitaminum D in a body but i read about symptoms of overdosing this vitaminum, and they are
Muscles ,bones ,joint aches. i have them all.
hypervitaminosum D and A are most dangerous.
hypervitaminosum D can cause brain damage.

I am gonna find out where i can check my D level and 1,25-D also.
See what will show blood results

My levels were tested in January and were too low, I was given large doses of vitamin D. My levels went back to normal, but I felt no different...so it was just the opposite for me! Weird.

Hi,

I have tested out with consistantly below normal levels---I believe this can be related to re-activation of viral issues?? Like EBV,CMV,HHV-6, ect.,ect.
