Checkout the above link, sounds like lyme to me. Hopkins is testing mice - exactly what are they injecting the mice with, proteins or bacteria - really... they say "researchers have "engineered mice" to develop the equivalent of Lou Gehrig's disease" -- engineered mice, what the heck is that! Tell me what they are injecting into the mice to mimick a motor neuron disease?

...they have found "antibiotics block nerve damage & relieve symptoms"...

They are "genetically engineered", meaning that a gene has been altered which controls the expression of SOD - superoxide dismutase, which has been implicated in cases of familial ALS, but not in sporadic ALS (which is the one we have to worry about). This is different from injecting them with a motor neuron damaging substance.
