I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the lyme spirochete causing stomach ulcers or gastritis? I'm to have an EGD done this Tues. and the GI Doc is looking for the H-Pylori bacteria. If you have do you know if they can biopsy for the lyme bacteria at the same time?

I was having lots of problems with gastritis despite being on proton pump inhibitors for years. It was so bad that I had to get off abx to heal my system.

My LLMD felt it was due to yeast, put me on Diflucan, and the burning is subsiding. I am taking that in conjunction with supplements for leaky gut recommended by my alternative dr.

I tested the yeast theory, tried to get off Diflucan too soon and the burning came back.

Hi Nancy,

I have had stomach probelms all my life...(ulcers and gastritis) thought it was normal, and yes it's part of lyme, co-infections and yeast.

Good luck to you.
