There are many here with children who have lyme. My 2 children have had it more than once. My son is 6 and had it again along with bartonella recently and he had terrible rages, problems concentrating in school, extreme fatigue. He was put on rifampin and bactrim and is fine now. He also has a slight tic when he eats chocolate and too much gluten. That is not from lyme but his vaccinations.
My daughter is 11 and has had a rough time of it. We are just starting her on Mepron for babesia and Im hoping she will finally get better. She hurts all the time, terrible headaches, joint pain, chills, low grade fevers etc.
She has had lyme before without co-infections and gotten better.
We use Dr. J in connect. He is the best.
You need the best if you want your child to get well. good luck pattiecake

yes you are right about Dr. J being overwhelmed. He will work with your doctor tho so perhaps that is an option?
I have seen many children who dont get fully recovered because doctors dont treat long enough or with the right combo of meds. Then the doctors dismiss the lyme as already been treated.
glad you are here as you will learn a lot and know not to settle for that. pattiecake
