Hey everyone.

Well this is important to me...

I was on cipro for 2 days...i got those tingling feelings that wouldnt go away and were real annoying...they are still here.

I stopped the cipro on sunday and i had rocefin on tuesday 1.5 grams, went off of it because of gallbladder pain again...

Took my 250 mg zithro yesterday, and today im feeling the weakest and most tired ive ever felt with lyme before..why?

i felt real good during the day, then i took a nap, and i had sweats during my nap and now im just so weak all i want to do is sprawl out on the couch and not get up.

Is this a herx? i dont know what is going on, im not freaking out though...just wondering why im so weak all of a suddenly. I was like this yesterday too. Could the cipro do this? when i was on rocefin i never got this weak before.

I just need some advice about this cause im very confused so any help anyone could give to me on explaining what this could be would be greatly appriciated

Hope to hear from someone soon.

Korinne

Hey Kori ~ I don't know about anyone else but I took 2 weeks of doxy (not a lot of fun) and switched to zithro (600mg) every other day, about 9 days ago. (I didn't have any 250s or would have started with that.)

Anyway, It's making me very tired. Actually, I'm finding I'm sleeping more at night AND having an afternoon nap. (like a 2-3 hour one) Just go with it, get lots of rest.

Also, now this may sound even more off the wall but, I have noticed in the past that full moons bring on the best herx. A few days after I usually feel a bit better.

Oh, yeah one more thing. Zithro stays in your system for a while so expect it to build a little until you're up to speed. Keets will die and the full moon will pass and hopefully your energy will come back. Well, between naps anyway.

Hang on there, kiddo. We'll be zithro buddies.

Oh, yeah, the sweat thing happened too. Hey, you didn't mention a headache and lightheadedness. Is it just me then? These seem to happen a couple of hours after taking it and subside as time goes on.

Right, I'm off to take some acidophilus...

Hey korinne! Did you mean zith or cipro here??

Zith could be hitting babesia. Cipro could be hitting bartonella. So either one could cause herxing.

Tutu,
Are you saying the zith will work somewhat on the babs or just stir it up waiting for an antimalarial?

The zith has kicked up the sweats (here they come now), evening sore throats, occasional swollen glands and head and neck aches... and some other weird stuff.

Well, others here insist it can work against babs. I haven't seen anything official on that, however. [my disclaimer was "could be"]

Anybody have proof on that?
