I have seen some progress by pulsing flagyl twice a week along with bicillin twice a week.

However!

I just cannot get over the flagyl experience and am curious...is it the herx or is it possible that the flagyl itself is causeing like clockwork, the night I take it,

then forget about being functional the next day...

crying like a waterfall...
severe suicidal depression...

it is kicking my limbic system ketes out?

Or is it the drug itself??

Anyone know have have experience?

I right now only have one more week of this horrendous experience and to tell the truth would rather leave these ketes be if they are going to turn me into a ... tear drop!

I will do the one more week, then discover what new treatment course to take...

Ah the ups and downs of lyme disease!

One thing that has helped with the brain congestion and dizziness is diflucan, so likely there had been tha complication of yeast overgrowth in my noggin.

Best to you all fighting this nasty disease!

It's been a very nasty past coupla days in migraine and vomitting...but I am functional again today.

[hi]

Hey painted turtle

Sorry you are having a hard time on the flagel but glad you are a litte better today.

Could it be the bicillin shot too? I have heard others say that the herx's on that can be bad.

Re: the flagel.
It effects people many ways. The cyst busters can be brutal to some and not so bad to others. You might have a high cyst load.

Do as much detox as you can right now because after a heavy herx you will have alot of toxins built up. This may also help in your one more week with the fladgel.

I have had emotional and dark herx's and totally empathize with you. All I can say is just keep reminding your self its the ketes talking and visualize being better again.

Because when you herx does clear, you will feel better again.

I know it may be cold comfort at the time to say to yourself this is only temporary. But I keep telling myself this is only temporary has hepled get me thru. And use it as a sorta of chant. It does help me.

The second or third round on the fagel often gets better as your germ load goes down. But only you know how much suffering you can handle.

*Maybe ask your LLD if you could lower the flagel dose a little and ramp up.
I am sorry you had to go thru this*

Hang in there
Life will be good again. [group hug]

I have had depressive episodes on all abx. It could be part of a herx. We usually think of a herx as a physical reaction, but it can also be emotional.

Painted Turtle,

I switched from Flagyl to Tindimax and I find it much less depressing.

I am concerned about how intense your depression is. Too much and sounds dangerous.

Your germ load is probably still high and going more slowly can get it down to where herxing is bearabl

Please consider lowering dose or switching.

One more thing, forgive lyme brain please...

My experience is that the cyst buster seems to build in system and takes a few days to clear out.

Perhaps a total break, then reapproach.

Best Wishes

I have been on IV Rocephin and 1500mg Flagyl a day for 7 weeks. My depression is so intense and I don't know where it's coming from. I start crying for no reason at all. I also quit smoking last week, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. I know it amps up my Lyme rage [Mad]

I hope you feel better!

Thanks all...

Yes it is probably the bicillin too...my butt is getting a little tired of that! Two more weeks of those injections.

Good idea to remember to flush out/detox...very key! That's always the part I neglect.

It will be interesting to discover what next in the protocol plan, I am looking forward to my next appointment to discuss this.

epsom salt baths (with a lit candle and no other light...that part for reaching the soul level)

colon cleanz pill
