Hello:

I have had two Igenex tests which I would like some opinions on. I have read the information provided on the board and know Lyme is a clinical diagnosis, but am still unsure. I will only post those that are not negative according to the tests

IGM Results from 2nd test:

30kDa +
**31kDa IND
**41kDa IND

IGG Results from 2nd test:

**41kDa IND
58kDa IND

IGM Results from 1st test:

30kDa IND
58kDa IND
66kDa IND

IGG Results from 1st test:

30kDa IND
**31kDa IND
**39kDa IND
**41kDa +
45kDa IND
58kDa IND
66kDa IND
**93kDa IND

Thank you for any help in interpreting these results for me. I am very confused.

Shana

IND next to the band weight means there was a weak antibody response to that molecular weight, but it was not considered strong enough responseto be called positive.

But I think any LLMD looking at your tests would treat for Lyme becuase you had many bands that showed activity.

SOmetimes, the sicker one is with Lyme, the weaker the antibody production. You don't mention of you've been in therapy - but sometimes the antibody response actually gets stronger after you've taken antibiotics.

Good luck.

Looks like some activity there!

When did you first become ill? Where were you?

List of symptoms?

Dr. Charles Jones' article helped to understand results too:
http://www.personalconsult.com/articles/drjonesapproach.html

Looks like you have many IND bands that a good LLMD could interpret well together with your symptoms.

I wish you well!

Thanks for all the information.

I got sick in 1990 after my Honeymoon in Colorado. It was the middle of winter so Lyme was never suspected.

My symptoms were an acute onset of viral illness, especially upper respiratory problems.

After several months, I returned to a decent level of health, but never the same. Gradually over that year my fatigue, pain and sore throat with swollen glands got worse.

I eventually quit work because I could not keep up. Over the past few years the viral symptoms only come now and then but I am left with horrible fatigue, inability to exercise and pain with activity.

I have tested positive for HHV-s and Mycoplasma and Nanobacteria. My diagnosis had always been CFIDS, until I went to the FFC in Ft. Worth.

I live in Florida. Any additional comments would be helpful. I was not on abx at the time these tests were taken.

Thank you again.

I forgot to mention that I have Interstitial Cysitistis that comes and goes. In addition, my sleep study showed alpha intrusion. I wake up very tired and go to bed tired. I do use sleep meds at this point but I did not in the beginning and would have a tough time falling asleep, especially when I was in alot of pain.

Once again, thanks for the help.
