i just had a very scary moment.

i went downstairs thinking i would make some soup to calm my stomach. well i get down there and something comes over me.

I feel like im going to get physically ill right there in the kitchen(i have not thrown up since i was 6) i fear it.

All of a sudden i cant see everything goes blurry....im panicking....very scared.

My dad says shes lymie and my mom sits me down in the chair and tells me to put my head between my legs.

slowly my headache went away and my vision returned. I was sweating too.....she said i looked white very white.

She now has similar symptoms...stomach rumbling and bad headache. we think we may have that nasty stomach bug.

i took some tums and some pepto....eating crackers right now. I just hope it is gone by the AM.

has anyone had that nasty bug or know the symptoms??

oh and i thought with our suppressed immunes we werent supposed to be able to get sick. :-/

My mother in law has a nasty bug right now. She's been in bed all day.

Headache and felt like she wanted to throw up but didn't. Oh yea and really cold.

Tonight my husband started to get sick. First he was hot including fever. Then he turned cold. He has diarrea and feels like throwing up but hasn't yet.

I hope I don't get sick........

i found something about the stomach bug. Freaky how you can be contagous 2 weeks after.

Symptoms, Treatments For Norovirus

Symptoms of norovirus usually include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramping. Sometimes people have a low-grade fever, chills, headache, muscle aches and fatigue.

Norovirus disease is usually not serious, although people can feel very sick and may vomit many times a day. People who cannot drink become dehydrated and may need hospitalization.

Norovirus is found in the stool or vomit of infected people. There are several ways that it can be transmitted:

Eating food or drinks that are contaminated with the virus

Touching surfaces or objects contaminated with the virus

Having direct contact with someone who is ill
Sharing food or utensils with a contaminated person

Being in a day-care center where diapers are changed

People infected are contagious from the moment they begin feeling ill to at least three days after recovery

-- sometimes for two weeks after recovery. There is no medicine for norovirus, doctors just recommend that someone who is infected should keep hydrated.

To avoid norovirus, wash your hands, avoid people who are sick with the virus and don't share their food.

Also, don't kiss an infected person on the lips.

You should immediately remove and wash clothing or bed linens that may have become contaminated after someone becomes sick.

Hi,

I hope you don't have a bug. On the other hand, it would be gone soon -- just hang in there.

The symptoms you are reporting can also happen w. yeast. Dizziness, feeling faint, and panicky... oh, yes, yeast will do that.

So maybe now you are in a waiting game to see if it clears up in a day or two and is the bug.

I answered your other message threads with some suggestions.

Warmest wishes for feeling better soon!

The symptoms you describe are similar to what I experienced. I saw my Gastroenterologist and he said it sounded like the latest stomach virus. He looked in my mouth and could tell that I had this flu because I had some white spots and sores, indicating a stomach virus. He recommended plenty of rest and lots of fluids. It lasted about 8 days for me. Then, my sister got it (probably from me).

It will go away. Treat yourself kindly and just try to ride it out. Not much else you can do.
