I live in the UK and order my Mepron from Canada - Grace Meds/ Calgary/ Hillhurst pharmacy and have found the recent batch I bought to be counterfeit...this was confirmed by the pharmacy.
I just wanted to post to say this can happen and if you notice a big difference in taste from one Mepron bottle to another then check the Lot no/expiry date with your pharmacist.
I am not trying to scaremonger...I have used Mepron long term and it has made a significant contribution to my health.
I'm just saying be vigilant, these bottles looked like the real deal, the only giveaway was a much more bitter taste and v slight difference in consistency...didn't pour as easily.
Incidentally the lot number was 5K004 and exp 09/2007 if anyone is worried.

Any really expensive meds can be the target of counterfeiters. I recently read a book on this subject, and it was certainly alarming as to the extent of it.
The advice given by the "authorities" is to shop only with internet pharms with some kind of official stamp of approval. Think it comes from a pharm organization of some kind. So, if you shop elsewhere on the net, without this stamp, it might be a problem. Buyer beware. Not every country has this program though.
If your pharm contacted you, I would say that was a good sign that they are reputable, even tho scammed by a provider. This happens to the big name national drug chains too. And it is not only an internet problem.
Thanks for the warning.

You might want to switch to MALARONE. It is much easier to deal with (pill form) and is cheaper too!
I have used both and MALARONE is much handier and easier to obtain (plus a bit harder to coutnerfit since it is the foil blister packs.)
