HI everyone. I just wanted to share with you Dr. F in Manhatten, NY. He is a holistic neurologist and he is just brilliant. (don't let the title, neurologist, throw you off, as I know how most of them are, but he is totally a different breed, being involved in alternative medicine). I haven't seen him yet because I am awaiting my lyme results from IgeneX, but he does treat lyme...the RIGHT way.

He believes that there is not just a diagnostic test that could tell if someone has lyme, and he mentions a 40-60% false negative rate on western blots. He starts by taking a full evaluation on your immune system, as he thinks that depending on the strength of your immune system from that beginning, before lyme affected you, depends on treatment, as everyone is different.

He even has a deep tissue acupuncture method that could find lyme in your system. He is amazing, and good friends with the nutritionist/activist Gary Null that I am a firm believer in. The other night I attended Gary's dance party and met them both, and they think he could really help me. I will see him even if the IgeneX tests are negative.

The price for a consultation is $250, and then I am not sure how expensive it gets once treatments start, but it is worth the looking into.

He does not use antibiotics to cure lyme, as they just bring down your immune system more and often do not get all the bacteria out, which is why so many people have chronic syndromes like RA and memory loss even after they are "cured." If anyone would like his full name and phone number, feel free to private message me.

I just thought I would spread the good word!

Michelle

Glad you found some help and that there are neurologists who can think.

The rule here on lymenet is not to use doctors' names. We use only first initial, so could you please edit your post and remove his name, as a safety measure for this doc? Just click on the little pencil to edit. Thanks.

Welcome to Lymenet and I hope we can help you.

PLEASE edit your post to remove the doctor's name -we only use initials.

Lyme doctors are routinely harassed by state medical boards, thus many docs won't treat Lyme.

we need all the Lyme docs we can get so please don't jeopardize this one by posting his name.

thanks.
