Does anyone know about this and what lab does it? The test calls for a blood sample that's cultured in human blood.
I'm pretty sure my LLMD said this was a test for both Lyme bacteria and co-infections. Because these organisms are so hard to grow using normal methods and culture mediums, the lab was using human blood to grow the cultures.
My LLMD mentioned it once, but I can't locate it in my notes. He didn't tell me what lab it was or what the test was called, anyway, and we quickly moved to another topic. I wanted to do some reading on it, but haven't found it online either.
I recall that the cost was high, about $600, but I've surely thrown a lot of money at stuff that doesn't work or give definitive results. My history and symptoms are not definitive, so I'd like to find a way to get a better idea what I'm dealing with.
Thanks for any information, Nutmeg
