Did you ask your doctor? Maybe you need to check kidney function. What are you taking now? I remember that you had started very large doses of CoQ10. What antibiotics are you on?

Hemolysis can happen while the blood is in the test tube.
Hemolysis can also happen in the body.
Talk to your doctor and find out what's what.

What does the test result mean?
Increased potassium levels indicate hyperkalemia. Increased levels may also indicate the following health conditions:
* excessive dietary potassium intake (for example, fruits are particularly high in potassium, so excessive intake of fruits or juices may contribute to high potassium); * excessive intravenous potassium intake; * acute or chronic kidney failure; * Addison's disease; * hypoaldosteronism; * injury to tissue; * infection; * diabetes; and * dehydration.
Reference range:
Age Conventional Units2 SI Units3
0-18 years Not available due to wide variability. See child's lab report for reference range.
Adult 3.5-5.1 mEq/L 3.5-5.1 mEq/L
Polar, at 6 yours is not terribly out of range. Dehydration and diarrhea are frequent culprits. Mine is always high too because of constant diarrhea. Also, frequently we are dehydrated without realizing it because we should be drinking water all the time and rarely are!
Talk to your doc about it but I wouldn't be terribly concerned with this number if I were you!

Bb also causes a disruption of the Na-K pump. This is the transport in and out of our cells of the electrolytes, sodium (Na) and potassium (K).
Bb wants choline and Na carries choline INTO the cells.
Nutrients have to flow in and out of our cells, to power the cells, to provide protection, etc.
The infected cells are making less ATP by using our sugar, not oxygen, to make ATP. Bb is triggering this. We know all spirochetes ferment OUR sugar to produce ethanol (alcohol).
Less ATP impacts the Na-K pump as well as the Mg-ATP pump.
Mg, and ONLY Mg is attached to ATP...our energy carrier.
Mg leaves the cells...specifically the muscle cells...for many protective reasons... at the OUTSET of lyme.
Now...since Ca (the next reactive mineral) would likely go into the cells when Mg leaves, this isn't good (harmful to thyroid cells...they "calcify"), so...
In goes the NEXT reactive mineral, Na...sodium...which shoves K outside.
Now your EXTRACELLULAR level of K goes up.
It is supposed to be INSIDE the cells.
Edema happens.
Na transports choline into the cells and we KNOW Bb is after our choline. Na transport is also triggered by cortisol.
Bb doesn't like KCL...but getting it BACK INTO THE CELLS is another thing!
Bb disrupts the HPA...hypothalamus, pituitary, ADRENAL axis really fast...as well as the HPT (thyroid) too. The glands signal one another.
Immediate call to "fight".
Too MUCH cortisol, we here all know = this disease takes off...much worse.
In order of "reactivity" (which mineral will react with acids to produce hydrogen...to maintain our pH), here is the most reactive to least...in part...I wish I could find all of the minerals listed...
Li - lithium K - potassium Na - sodium Ca - calcium Mg - magnesium
You will note lithium. We only need a tiny amt. of this trace mineral and it is hard to regulate. It is used to treat manic depression.
The next 4 you will see are our primary electrolytes...minerals we need (we need many more, but only in trace amts.). These are the ones typically measured by our doctors when they order a blood "electrolyte" test. Unfortunately, Mg levels are notoriously inaccurate because Mg is primarily INTRACELLULAR. Not a lot is in "general circulation". Mg is in very high levels in the liver, heart and brain especially...attached to ATP because those organs need a lot of energy!
Since muscle cells have a fair number of mitochondria, Mg-ATP is abundant, or should be, there too. Ca to help contract muscles, Mg to help relax...very simplified.
Calcium is by far the most abundant mineral in our body ....but not initially (babies need calcium to harden the bones so they can stand, walk...).
Aluminum is really "close" to Mg in "reactivity". They both burn with a "white" light...very HOT. In fact, this is the basis of fireworks...those minerals are used to "light" the others to produce the other colors when we watch fireworks.
Now...perhaps you are beginning to see a connection...aluminium (Al) displacing Mg...as in many diseases...
Malic acid chelates (removes) Al.
The above is only a small part of "why"...now about the "how" do we correct this...
This is NOT EASY!!! This pathogen has more tricks up its sleeves than any magician I have ever seen.
It is a very, very unique pathogen and as such, requires a unique approach.
Keep your mind open, listen, learn, and evaluate yourself.
When Mg levels drop to a very, very low level, you will not be able to "hang onto" K or Ca.
They will drop. EVENTUALLY K levels will be low...after a long time. Osteoporosis will start to happen first as Ca will leave the bones....to maintain the pH.
I hope you are taking probiotics.
When links indicate a abx. is depleting a nutrient, it may be removing it from it's intracellular compartment, moving it out...increasing the extracellular level.
So, yes, it would appear amoxicillin could be doing this.
This website will help you to begin to understand:
