My husband was on zith and mepron (doing nicely-feeling pretty well after 9 weeks of this combo). He added Minocycline almost two weeks ago. Luckily no dizziness. I think it is kicking his proverbial butt.
On day three after adding the mino the tissue around his left eye actually swelled (eyelid, and under the eyeball) he got really blood shot eyes and felt like his left eye was protruding (it wasn't).This passed in one evening. Sure enough, one week later, same thing minus the bloodshot in his right eye. Passed in 24 hours. Both eyes feel better now.
Anybody have anything like this with eyes..? Before mino he was on doxy for a year with nothing like this ever happening.

I haven't had that specifically, but recently I did get my first case of blepharitis which many Lyme patients get (and non-Lyme people, too). It can cause puffiness of the eyelid, scaliness/flakiness of the skin, redness in the eye, etc. But I never heard about the bulging eyeball.
My LLMD and my internist said to shampoo my eyelid and eyelashes with baby shampoo to get rid of the flakiness. It did sting a bit. Eventually it went away. But apparently once you get it, it can come back or spread to the other eye.
It may have nothing to do with what your husband is experiencing, but you might want to google it.
One of my Lyme pals says her blepharitis is triggered by yeast, but others have just said it's one more nutty thing with Lyme.
I do get the occasional one-red-eye (very bloodshot) which I have read is Bartonella, which I have.

Be careful that it is not orbital cellulitis. I had this once and it can be very serious. Feel better.
