Hi All,

I started Malarone 3 weeks ago for Babs. My 12th day I started getting dizziness (or feeling like I am falling forward and woozy) which was one of my first symptoms and then went away with treatment about a year ago. Do you think this is a side effect of the Malarone, a herx or something else? Thank you.

Yes, I have had that after starting malarone too. It has been a
persistent symptom of mine with lyme, but had gotten a tiny
bit better before starting the malarone -- has gotten worse
since starting it.

But I am sticking with the malarone, since it seems like an
effective treatment. Hang in there! Let your doctor know about
this. I think it has happened to several folkls on malarone.

Also in my case, like yours, it did not happen on the first day of
taking malarone, but seemed to take a couple of weeks. Perhaps
it is the babesia die-off reaction? I do not know!

Dizziness is one of my symptoms.

I started malarone about two weeks agos and herxed really bad after the third day, but then every symptoms started to get better including the dizziness.

The dizziness was almost not an issue anymore.

And wham when I woke up this morning I had the worst vertigo every. I almost fell, and I am very naueseated today.

I have to sit tight today. Very frustrating, I felt like I was really starting to get my life back.

Also have alot of breathing issues today as well.
