Mastic Gum - I've been taking it for about a week now. It's helping - better than Prevacid even. Something in my chest was killing me - maybe it was my esophagus or the top of my stomach? I actually had thought it was my lung or my heart.
It didn't help my brain though. Can h-pylori get in the brain?

Tailz, what is Mastic Gum? (I'm drawing a blank, but have heard the name).
What led you to try it?
(I don't have acid reflux but a friend does.)

I never heard of it before either - I only found it when I was looking up alternatives to treat h-pylori, which is also a spirochete, I think. H-pylori prevents the absorption of vitamin C, so I figured I had nothing to lose. H-pylori also produces ammonia and other toxins.
Mastic gum though comes from the resin of a Pistacia lentiscus, an evergreen tree which is grown on the island of Chios in Greece.
It comes in capsule form, and I've been taking one twice daily. You can take up to four daily.
Even the first one helped. In fact, I was on Prevacid in the past, and I think this works better than Prevacid, and Prevacid only makes things worse long term.
I got mine from Nutricology.
It helped whatever was burning in the center of my chest. In fact, it was always burning, but I'd been in so much pain, I think I'd gotten used to it.
Tell your friend to try it. I've been on so many herbs that make me sick, and this is one that helps and doesn't make me sick.

I know you are not a fan of the Rife machine, but since you have one you may want to try five minutes at 676 Hz.
It resolved my reflux the first time I used it. It is an H Pylori frequency. You should know if it worked the same day. If it does work you will have to repeat the process for five more days at five minutes a session or it will come back. It would not hurt to do a five minute sweep from 675 to 677 also.
Good Luck

Thanks everyone for the information.
I read something recently.... I think it was written by Dr. Lorraine Day (cured herself of cancer) where she stated that H. pylori actually helps protect the esophagus, so we have to be careful about getting too carried away with totally eliminating it.
Anybody read or heard that? It was news to me.

Mastic gum comes from mastic trees in Chios, Greece. It has been used for hundreds of years to treat stomach pain and ulcers. It can kill h.pylori and help most stomach problems. I order mine straight from Greece, the raw mastic tears. You can buy powder supplements in the USA, Nutricology makes it.
Works well. IF you have h.pylori try the PrevPack which is Prevacid 60 mg per day, Biaxin and Amoxicillin all together for 2-3 weeks.

here is the link to e-anemos in Greece where I get my Mastic stuff. I have the soap, toothpaste, oil, chewing gum and the raw mastic tears. Great stuff. Shipping is more expensive than the mastic gum, but I really like their stuff.
