Has anyone ever contacted any of these charitable organizations to transport you to a Dr.? I'm in Tx and need to go to Louisiana every 2 months or so and commercial flying is too expensive. Any ideas Lymenet friends?

The other is Corporate Angel Network. I think they may only offer the service to cancer patients. http://www.corpangelnetwork.org/
Check out their websites. I flew a couple angel flights several years back and I tell you nothing has made me feel so good. Both times they were children that I was bringing up to Manhattan.

Hi Jo,
I've taken some of my children to the doctor using Angel Flight. Without the flights they probably wouldn't be treated.
We've been blessed with two flights. One flight was cancelled due to a mechanical problem; one flight was cancelled due to bad weather. I'm waiting to hear if pilots have been arranged for my recent request.
It is a blessing to receive air transportation.
They provide this service to adults also. You have to have a medical need to travel (treatment unavailable locally) and a financial need. They verify your appointment with the physician before accepting your request.
It doesn't hurt to ask to see if you qualify.
