Hi all
This is my new combo of meds. I will be taken this in the morning and at night. Of course with all kinds of supplements.

Any tricks on how i should take them.

Rifampin says to take on an empty stomach?

Thx all

I can only comment on Rifampin. Was on it for six months but not in combo with anything else. I feel it suppressed my condition but didn't get rid of it.

I'd be willing to give it another shot, perhaps in combo with the abx your on.

The Biaxin tastes horrible, but you get used to it. In the beginning it was a bad enough taste that it would wake me up at night. Yuck. I took Biaxin for about 9 months.

I also have been taking Plaquenil since the beginning. It's a good drug ... mild cyst buster and makes the abx work better. Also is a mild anti-malarial.

I took Rifampin very briefly as a follow up to Levaquin last time .... be prepared to see strange colored urine ... it's normal for Rifampin.

Good luck, sounds like a good combo.

Hi there,

I am still a 'newbie", but started treatment in Feb. of this year.

I began with Biaxin, Rifampin and Plaquenil, which was effective,

but I was having heart palpitations and racing heart.

i am now taking Levaquin instead of Rifampin, and seem to be

tolerating it. I started 6 days of Actos and then began Questran.

I now take Biaxin and Plaquenil on Monday, Wednesday and

Friday-only, and Levaquin and Questran daily.

Hoping to get better!

Thanks all for the replys. Last night was the 1st night. It was pretty tough. Woke up a few time's with tingling in my body.

Took it again this morning. Little nasaua and very cloudy feeling. Hope this goes away after a few days.

Also have some anexity. I typically get this when I 1st switch abx.

Thx to all [Smile]
