Well.. who has Nova Scotia been playing with out behind the barn?

It appears someone has warped their little brains.

"Other symptoms that are, or have been suggested to be, associated with Lyme disease (including those of so-called `chronic' Lyme disease and post Lyme disease syndromes) are considered too non-specific to define cases for surveillance purposes, whether or not they may be caused by B.
burgdorferi infection."

Just for fun...

Let's start a list of all the different names we've seen or heard that refer to Lyme disease.

I'll start with the way it read in my chart years ago... when I was FINALLY first diagnosed.

1. Lime arthritis

Your turn.. add one to the list. If it is found online and you can provide a link to a site that shows it... great!

All you need to do is read the references.

IDSA- Wormser, Steere etc.... just a copy cat of IDSA criteria. No original thought, no investment in anything.

Tracy9, speaking of "no investment in anything", if our government can put someone like Martha Stewart in prison, do you think these bas*ards will be far behind? Personally, I think they've done way more damage....The least I think we can do is try to find some "Pen-Pals" that will be willing to correspond with them...Or, maybe,we can leave that up to them, ...As they are such "astute clinicians",they can figure it out for themselves..... http://www.prisonpenpals.com Joe

AARRRRGGGG!!!!! For the last few days I've been able to spend more time on the computer. I finally watched 'Under the Skin', along with many others.

I have found that all of the anger has re-suferaced!!! I'm sooooo flipping mad that I don't even know what to do!! THEN after seeing this-----------Bas*ards is one accurate word decribing these idiots. How about Ignorarant; no that would mean lack of knowlegde---not the case! Stupid--A**holes--etc....

Sorry, in a pretty bad/frusterated mood! I cannot believe what is in the report!!!! Un-freaking-real!!!!

What can we do?????????? So many times I've started letters, contacting the media, Newspapers, but I can never seem to finish as I always get too sick. So any suggestions on what I can do?????? I, as I'm sure y'all are too am SOOOOOO sick of the ignorance, Dr.'s just turning there heads and looking the other way 'cause they don't even want to take the time to learn about the disease, etc....

[cussing] , [rant] , [Mad] , [Frown] I know, it's a been a bad week!

janet,

thank you so much for the nice compliment on my table of contents finished newbie package. it was a LONG in the works project; this will work better for everyone!!

you asked what you can do! go to ACTIVISM to TINCUP'S post...alert on fat lady...
***********************************

call the 4 phone nos. there for congress OR AT LEAST CALL ONE; it's KENNEDY'S staff office and ask for OPINION LINE!!!

you can sound off for 2 minutes.
***********************

give them your full name and complete mailing address and you want S 1708 lyme disease PUT ON THEIR AGENDA SOON.
****************************

then tell them from your perspective how a lyme disease advisory committee and RESEARCH on conclusive lyme disease diagnosis is important, etc.

then every day when you call, add on to your earlier story educating them!!!

i sent them UNDER OUR SKIN TRAILER and iowa's 14 yr. old girl, alex hermstad, who is paralyzed on ventilator, you tube video.

2 days ago, her mom, lori, wrote a powerful post on their caring bridge site for her. i called the opinion line 5 times to read this entire 10 minute letter!!!

if you don't have a cell phone and are charged long distance charges, ask a friend to use their FREE service!!! best wishes!!
