The day I had my blood drawn for the CD57, I had undiagnosed Strep throat.

I had just started Threelac, and it made me violently ill. Extreme sore throat, head & neck were so stiff I could barely move, etc.

I figured it was just a sore throat at the time, and a bad reaction to Threelac. I stopped Threelac immediately.

After 3 weeks of constant sore throat and swollen glands, finally had throat culture done and it was confirmed as 'moderate' strep throat.

I got my CD57 results yesterday. My number was 22. Blood was drawn for this when I had the sore throat.

I really felt better in terms of lyme symptoms and I thought I was improving. When I saw the number 22, it made me think otherwise.

Does anyone know if/how a Strep infection would impact a CD57 test?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Bettyg!

Please does anyone know this?

My doctor is on vacation for two weeks so I won't be able to talk to him about it until at least the middle of next week.

I'm REALLY hoping a strep infection would have an impact because 22 is really low.
