Im feeling a little better since seeing my LLMD. Anxiety has decreased and overall every symptom is improving slowly, but still not well.

The most surprising finding is that I've been fighting Mononucleosis for 7 years! I got it in 2001 and 'got over it' and got to feeling better but according to my LLMD I still have it! As of a result of my body fighting the mono for that long and fighting lyme now, many areas of my physical health were being depleted.

I want you to tell me honestly if I'm in any grave danger. I am worried about this stuff killing me altogether but when I asked the LLMD she said "you're not going to drop over dead tomorrow". I'm still worried I'm in danger.

Here were the findings:

-Dangerously low Vitamin D (got supplement for)
-Dangerously low Vitamin B (got supplement for)
-Dangerously low Testosterone (mine was 235, it can go as high as over 900 and in a guy my age it should be in the 700s at least) (got testoser cream)
-Adrenal gland mysfunction (which is why I bet I have some heart aggravation)
-Thyroid gland underperformance, the opposite of hyperthyroidism (taking thyroid medication as soon as compound pharmacy has it ready)
-YEAST INFECTION! 10 is the infection level I was at 12 (given Nystatin)
-I am now taking folic acid, I actually forget what that was to counteract
-Low cortisol levels

basically, am I in grave danger and the LLMD was just being calm? I am really scared of a heart attack bc of all this at age 25.

No, you're going to do fine ... the only danger your heart might be in is if you meet my daughter, LOL. [Big Grin]

Seriously, it's as beautiful day, get outside and get some natural vitamin D.

Your adrenals will come back as your body gets healthy again. It's natural for them to be low in someone with chronic infection (viral or bacterial).

Getting your thyroid treated will also help. I am hypothyroid as well. It took a while to get the right combo of meds, but I finally did and it helps a lot with fatigue.

You are really on the right track and I'm happy that you found a good LLMD. [Smile]

Thanks sixgoofy.

I also had low "natural killer cells" the WBC's that kill bacteria in the tissues.

Wow, if that testerone level is dangerously low, I'm half-dead. My number is even lower. [Frown] I'm 33. Very few docs seem to care about low testerone at a young age. Did they check your free testerone levels too? Mine are low, but borderline normal.

A urologist scared the hell out of me and told me I'd get prostate cancer if I supplemented with testerone.

It sounds like your doctor is very thorough. I am impressed. I don't think you're dead Clint. It'll just take time and hard work to recover.

Are you doing B-12 injections?

Clint, if your doctor also plans to treat the Lyme, it sounds like he is being very thorough. I think all of these items you listed are a problem for many of us and most do not explore them. It sounds like you are many steps ahead of the game.

Be well,

my vit d was 3. within a week of treatment i felt so much better-more energy. it's easy to fix. and cheap. my numbers were normal in 3 months. i sat outside too-but it was winter. i took 4000 a day i think.

so much of the other stuff is typical for lyme.

like the others say-your doc sounds good. it will be a long road-but know fixing the D will be easy. probably fixing the B will be too.

lots of info on here about adrenals and thyroid.

good luck

Clint,

Are you going to do an anti-viral like valcyte?

I did 8 months of it.

Have to get very regular blood work for a while though.

Glad you got some answers.

Now you can go about the business of feeling better.

It is not uncommon for a multitude of things to be wrong with us.

I agree with Tutu. Your gonna be around for a long, long time.

I had cardiac issues. Pain in chest, palpatations,

Skipped beats, rapid heart rate, etc.

Had a nuclear stress test done to find out my heart was "perfect".

Added magnesium helps, but the POTs just keeps my heart beating fast.

Hugs,

Geneal

no B12 injections although I got an initial one.

I am just taking the tablets now. thanks for all the replies. Supplementing these areas has helped my dizziness (although its not gone) it is so much more bearable.

Clint,

Take Proboost (cheaper from naturedoc.com) 3 packages a day for at least 3 months. EBV levels will go down according to studies.

Good luck.
