Hey all,

I never really ask for advice on here, but I am absolutely lost at the moment.

As a bit of a back story -- I was on Doxycycline for a few months at 200mg a day and when I went up to 400mg I got really sick. I was always nausous and vomited from it a few times.

I went back to my doctor and I was put on Amoxy at 1000mg a day. (for now)

I took my first dose of Amoxy at around 7:00pm (after dinner) and right after I started having headaches. They seemed to go away and then I ate a little more.

Now it is 4:00am and I just vomited and I have major chills and was in the bathroom from around 1:00am-2:00am on and off with bowel movements. I have no fever, but my entire body is aching and I have major chills -- I am freezing!

I don't know if I am sick, this is a herx, or a reaction to the medication once again. Also -- maybe it is too soon to be taking any meds. I am really not sure.

I am so lost and don't know what to do.

Any advice or ideas that do not include the ER would be very helpful -- unless you think this is am emergency.

Please back off your meds until you speak to your LLMD.

I would call today.

Sounds like a herx although the night in the bathroom can be antibiotics.

However, my LLMD does not advocate pushing through a herx.

Not really bad ones anyways.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hugs,

Geneal
