I presented the results of my "where did you catch Lyme in California?" poll to the state Lyme Disease Advisory Committee last week in Sacramento. Read about it here:

What an enlightening article you wrote. I enjoyed it very much.
We all are up against the "it's not possible to have Lyme because..." theory no matter where we live, I suppose.
The last time I went to my PCP I asked about Lyme. She said it was "highly unlikely". Sheesh! She never even asked if I had been bitten by a tick.
The incident about the woman in NYC who told her doctor that she was bitten in California and he said there's no Lyme in NY is horrific.
Thank you for sharing your information.

FYI, I am still collecting information about where in California people have caught Lyme. If anybody wants to participate, I suggest you read my previous posts on the subject and then send me an email. Read the blog here: www.touchedbylyme.orgPosts: 991 | From California | Registered: Feb 2006
