I just saw my family doc and reviewed my test results with him and wanted to get your two cents on this...
Western Blot Igg P41 Present Western Blot Igm P41 Present Igm P23 Present
I'm just finishing a course of Doxy 100 mg 2x day, but wonder if this is enough. The last time I recall being bit and having a bulls eye rash was 7 years ago and I was treated for a month with Amoxycillan.
Any advice on where to go from here would be greatly appreciated!

Hi KLSS,
I can't remember what Band 23 represents, but Band 41 could indicate Lyme or a couple of other things.
Do you have symptoms of Lyme and is that why you are on Doxy?
Also, do you know which lab performed your Western Blot?
The best and most accurate lab is Igenex so if you have symptoms or suspect you have Lyme it might be a good idea to have a test run by them.
Also, co-infections are always a possibility and you would need separate tests for them.
If you suspect Lyme I think the best thing to do would be to see an LLMD and have testing done by Igenex.

The lab used was LabCorp and the reason for treating me was because I've had numerous problems over the past seven years from jaw pain, to panic attacks, to lower back pain, to gi symptoms and brain fog.
I feel very confused by all of this-would it be best to take the results to a LLMD and have him review?
My docs advice when I mentioned the possibility of chronic lyme was to see if I have any symptoms after I'm finished this round of abx and retest for lyme again...
PS: These test results were taken shortly after a round of Zithromax and Prednisone for sinus infection-would this affect the results in any way?

I don't know anything about Prednisone, but since Zithromax is an abx I think it could have an impact on your test results.
If your immune system is suppressed, it is my understanding that abx may help to re-activate it thus causing bands to show up that otherwise would not have been detected.
Sometimes doctors intentionally give an abx "challenge" to patients in hopes of getting a positive or more accurate result on a Western Blot.
Having read your symptoms I definitely think now that you should see an LLMD.

I would make an appt with an LLMD. The symptom you describe can be from Lyme Disease. I would definitely go see one. The dosage of doxy should be 400 mg per day for at least four weeks .... but considering your other symptoms and the length of time you have had them, you might need more than that.
Since you have had Lyme, you never want to take Prednisone unless it's a life or death situation.
