My daughter started Omnicef and zithromax three weeks ago (she is on day 22 of meds).
Over the weekend, she started to have leg cramps, increased muscle soreness and difficulty moving her legs.
She said it is like her muscles are stuck.
I do have a call in to the llmd. In the meantime, does anyone have any thoughts? I read side effects of the meds and am not seeing anything that can account for it.
Any thoughts would be appeciated. Thanks.

Most likely a flare up due to starting the meds .... that's about how long I went before my first flare up.
Try to have her move a little each day to keep the lymph and blood flowing so toxins can be moved out. By a little exercise, that might mean standing up a couple times per day and walking to the other side of the bed ... whatever she can handle, but keep her moving .... flexing/massaging the hands and feet is also helpful as is drinking enough water.

My 7 year old is on the same combo of meds... (he started in June). His main symptoms after starting meds was jaw & hip pain. Also eye pain/blurriness. I backed off on the meds when his symptoms seemed severe, and then started up again the next day.
Symptoms were worst the first month, they have decreased since then.

Sounds like a herx. That happens every 3-5 wks.
Backing off the meds worked for me .. but check with your LLMD.

I agree herx. Be sure to do something to keep yeast gone. Detox with whatever your doc recommends.
