i don't know what is causing this but i am concerned.
i started taking cholestapure just a day ago, two with each meal. i also started liquid nystatin for thrush, which i've got pretty bad.
so last night i woke up in the middle of the night gasping for air, my chest really hurt, and i was short of breathe. my chest muscles also hurt.
so i ate some breakfast and took the nystatin and all this morning. within an hour or so, i was just sitting on the couch, and all of a sudden my chest feltlike it closed up on me and i couldn't breathe. it's really sore. i just feel out of it.
could it be the lyme, a reaction to liquid nystatin (kind of like a herx), or a reaction to the cholesterol med. it says the cholesterol stuff is made of "plant steroids" whatever that is, but it doesn't exactly say what.
anybody got any ideas? i've taken nystatin before with no reaction.
so what's going on?
also my finger tips are really red. yeast??

I don't know but go to drugs.com and look up side effects. I would not take a drug that did this to me. Sounds dangerous.

Lyme is the only one you cannot take out of the equation and "test".
Either chose to exclude nystatin or the cholestepure and only add them back one at a time to see which one may be causing your symptoms.
How long have you had the oral thrush? With chronic oral thrush, the esophagus would then be continually exposed to the overgrowth by swallowing, and perhaps the nystatin is not enough to address the esophageal issues? Prior to taking nystatin, did you have trouble swallowing or a sore throat?
Or, it sounds also like an allergic reaction to one of them. Or perhaps you have added something else new? This could be dangerous.
Or, you have a case of Babesia rearing its ugly head. Have you been treating lyme more aggressively with things you haven't mentioned in this post in which Babesia would then reappear?
From my own experiences, my Babesia would kick in about two to three weeks after going after Lyme more aggressively.

i used the nystatin twice since i stopped it and nothing happened so i'm pretty sure it was that stuff i ordered.

All of the sugar in liquid nystatin is not good for candida. They make a 500,000 IU tablet that I use for thrush and always take when I am on an abx regimen. Nystatin is very safe.
I usually take 6-8 tablets per day with no side effects. You can crush 2 of the doses and swish them around in your mouth to treat the upper GI thrush. (It tastes nasty, but is worth the discomfort to get rid of the thrush quickly.) The other doses in tablet form treat the lower GI.
You ought to read Dr. Crook's book "The Yeast Connection." There is a lot of good info in there.
